An Elias Tompkins ( Mercer,Co. KY) was appointed guardian of Thomas Jeffries (now Jeffreys)son of John Jeffries Dec. 1821. I beleive he was also guardian of John's other children. Would you know anything about this? You mention an Anne Roach having married Elias Tompkins 1848...is this the same person? I'm Having difficulty tracing back the Jeffries family. My great grandmother was Nannie Rice Semonis from Mercer Co. Nannie married Ben Horton, she died at the age of 34 in 1919 in Boyle County. Her father was Daniel Semonis. Daniel was married to Elizabeth Wickersham and then to Mary Bell Blake. Their was another daughter named Minnie who married a man named Sam Ball. There may have been more children, these are all that I know about. Any help appreciated.

I found the name of Mary "Polly" HART on www.genealogy.com under the HART list of names. It was included in the names on Carey's list....(I had entered the name Andrew Jackson Lawson and the found the Hart info on first choice on the page, Carey's list.) It stated that she was married to Tyre LAWSON and that they went to McMinn Co. Tn. It also listed her as being the dau of Charles Hart Sr. and named her siblings in Mercer Co. Kentucky. Mary "Polly" Hart Lawson was my gggrandmother and I have info I can add but I would first like to know where the submitter got her/his info. I need to know for certain that her father was Charles Hart Sr. Thanks

I have nothing on Daniels second wife...or daughter.But Daniel and his first wife Elizabeth had a daughter and from the info I have it says that her folks raised the child. All I have about the second wife Mary was she was born around 1861 and they married before 1880....sorry I can not help any more. I do have info on Margaret Jane Semonis Randolph Claunch Key and family from Mercer County Ky....thanks Linda If you have any more info on Mary and would like to share I would enjoy having the info .....

I am a descendant of John and Martha Brock. He and Martha moved on between 1812 and 1815 to IN where they stopped for a while; about 1821 they moved to McLean County, IL. I know Martha died there as I have her deathyear, but can only presume that John died there as well. At the end of her life she made her home with her son Mosbey Brock (my ggg grandfather) and his family. The Harbert name has a variety of spellings, including Harbord, Harberd, and Harbert. One of the bigger mysteries seems to be the name of John Harbert's wife. Most of the Mosbey Brock descendants seem to think it was Mary Mosby, daughter of Hezekiah and Elizabeth (Cox) Mosby. However, there are people who say that Mary Mosby married William Holland and was significantly older. Anyway I have other info to share if you wish.

Mary was the daughter of Samuel Latimer and Lydia ?; the older sister of Chloe Latimer. I have an info that Chloe Latimer married Samuel Daugherty October 5, 1795 in Mercer Co., KY. SANDERS and Martha "Patsy" DYE had a daughter, MARY ANN SANDERS b July 1, 1788 md Tapley Henson Dye. Later I find Mary Ann Sanders in Green Co., (now Taylor Co.
