PATTERSON'S of early 1800's

I'm looking for any information about my 3rd Ggrandmother UNITY PATTERSON b. 19 Sep 1802 VA...m. NOAH GILPIN HAYDEN...10 Dec. 1822 Mercer Co.,KY...for the marriage application there was a WILLIAM PATTERSON listed at the surety... I found a WILLIAM PATTERSON b. 1801 VA. as a son of ARMSTEAD PATTERSON....my first thinking was that WM. was UNITY's brother??, but never found UNITY listed as one of ARMSTEAD's children...so my next thought was that maybe ARMSTEAD could have been a brother to UNITY's father?? Does anyone know anything about ARMSTEAD's parents and siblings?? Digging a little deeper I found a WILLIAM PATTERSON listed on the 1800 Mercer Co.Tax List...so this person could possibly have been UNITY's father...I next found him listed on the 1810 Mercer Co.census on page 326 with a child in the household the right age for UNITY?? Does anyone have any knowledge about this WILLIAM PATTERSON??...in 1810 who would have been older than 45 yrs.?? There were 9 children listed in the household with a wife 26-45 yrs. old.(4 boys & 5 girls). If there is anyone who could hlep me out here I would be very grateful... Thanks so very much, N.J. in MI.

Who are Joseph Corns parents and also Patsey Saunders parents? Joseph Corn went to Rush Co Indiana and then to Grant Co Indiana and died there 1855 and Nancy also died there in 1855. In the 1850 Mercer CO., KY Census a Cynthia (Maiden name Unknown) Smithey and Mary Springate were enumerated on page 331 with Richard Smithey on page 330. I haven't found a marriage bond between Richard and Cynthia. Any information/help on this marriage is greatley appreciated. Richard was married 23 Dec 1811 in Woodford CO., KY to Nancy Smithey who passed away before 1835. Thanks, Billy

I am looking for information on John W. Edwards who changed his name to Edward Bruce Sanford. He was in Company B of the 6th Kentucky Cavalry as a corporal and orderly--A first lieutenant in Company I 9th Kentucky Cavalry and supposedly served in Battery C of the 1st Kentucky Light Artillery. I am looking for information on this Union veteran. My interest has to do with his presence at the killing of Col. Dennis J. Halisy of the 6th Kentucky Cavalry on the 31st of December, 1862. I would appreciate any incite anyone may be able to give.

Would appreciate any information on the Timmons family who settled in Mercer County and onto Hopkins co., Ky. Especialy interested in John timmons who had a wife named Sally. I believe he was brother to Capt. George Timmons of Rev. Fame. thanks in advance for any and all info. I have the Frank Corum book on Capt. George Timmons but there is not much info on John timmons and his wife. Would also like to know what hapened to Stephen Timmons wife Sally. As you can see I am trying to run down a Sally Timmons. I am trying to connect same to Samuel W. corbit who a Sally Timmons married in 1820 in owensboro, Ky and moved to Hopkins co., Ky. as there was a close relationship to the Ashby and Timmons family in that area, could be she was a widow when Corbit married her. any help.....

Seeking info on these ancestors: Hendrick Sutphin married Rachel Owen in 1788 in Carroll Co.VA USA Hendrick was born in NJ abt 1768. His father, unknown lived in Mercer Co KY. His grandfather also Hendrick or Hendrik b. 1681 His parents Dirck Jansen Sutphin and Elisabeth VanNuys Her parents were Aucke Jansen VanNuys & Magdalene Peters. All replies welcomed! Deborah Wood
