MILLER, Billie Trimble
Mrs. Billie Trimble Miller, 73, died Wednesday, April 12, 1995 at the Nazareth Nursing Home in Louisville.
Born December 1, 1921, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Jeanetta and George Trimble.
She worked in cosmetology most of her life, starting her vocation in Harrodsburg. She had lived in Louisville for the past 50 years.
Survivors include: two step children, Kathy (Miller) Irvin and Frank Miller, Jr. of Louisville; three sisters, Bettie Stevens, Harper Woods, MI, Joyce Siferlien, New Port Richey, FL and Pat Young, Danville.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 15, at the Pearson Funeral Home, Louisville. Burial was in Cave Hill Cemetery.

March, 1995
MILLION, Arthur
Mr. Arthur Million, 89, 807 Bethel Road, died Sunday March 5, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 17, 1905 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Charlie and Flora Norton Million.
He was a farmer and a member of the Mt. Hebron United Methodist church. He was preceded in death by his wife Merlin Hannah Black Million.
Survivors include: one daughter, Mrs. Henry (Louise) Pulliam, Harrodsburg; one sister, Mrs. Wilma Jenkins, Danville; three grandchildren, two great grandchildren, three step great grandchildren.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 8 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill cemetery.
Pallbearers were Marty Pulliam, Woody Pulliam, George Buckner, Tommy Pinkston, Charles Stratton and Franklin Cole. Honorary bearers were "Buck" Whalen, Henry James and Maurice Cosby and Billy Hooper.

November, 1995
NOOE, Martina Cannon
Mrs. Martina Cannon Nooe, 84, formerly of Harrodsburg, died Thursday, November 2, 1995 at the residence of her daughter in Arlington, Texas.
Born November 20, 1910 in Harrodsburg she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Bertie Leonard Cannon.
She was an employee of St. Joseph Hospital and retired after 22 years.
Survivors include: one daughter, Margaret Ann Aden, Arlington, TX; four brothers, Andrew Cannon, Ernest Cannon, Charles Cannon and Leo Cannon; three sisters, Geneva Staklin, Lorraine Kurtz and Hazel Arnold; four grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Morgan L. Nooe, one son, William Morgan Nooe and one sister, Violet Meredith.
Graveside services were held Saturday, November 4, at 3:00 p.m., November at the Spring Hill Cemetery with the Rev. Mark Girard officiating.
Pallbearers were Tony Fernand, Bill Lawson, Max Kurtz, Rick Fernand, Marion Inman, Eric Inman and John David Lay.

February, 1995
NORTON, Marshall
Mr. Marshall Norton, 83, of LeRoy, Illinois, died at his home Thursday, February 2, 1995.
He was a native of Mercer County and the son of the late A. H. and Zora Hendren Norton.
He was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church and attended the Presbyterian Church in LeRoy.
He is survived by his wife Polly Norton of LeRoy, IL; three sons, Col. Jimmy Norton, of St. Louis, MO, Wendell Norton, of Milwaukee, WI, and DeWayne Norton of LeRoy, IL; five grandchildren and two step grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Virgie Curd of Lexington, Mrs. Jessie Long and Mrs. Lula Taylor of Mercer County; one brother, Rev. Elwood Norton of Harrodsburg.
Funeral services for Mr. Norton were conducted in LeRoy on Sunday, February 5.

October, 1995
PAYNE, Lilburn J.
Mr. Lilburn J. Payne, 81, 202 S. College Street, died Tuesday, October 31, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 11, 1914 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Theodore Osborne Payne and Hazel Belle Wheeler Payne.
He was a self-employed decorator and owner of Parkview Guest House.
He was an Army veteran of World War II and was a member of the Bohon Church of Christ, VFW and the American Legion.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary R. Payne, Harrodsburg; one step son, Stephen Barrett, Glasgow; three step daughters, Linda Wade, Houston, TX, Sharon Carlson, Oxford, PA, and Sheila Edward, IN; and two sisters, Rubye Smithey, Harrodsburg and Christine Meachan, FL.
Services for Mr. Payne will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 3 at the Bohon Church of Christ with Bro. Orell Overman and Bro. Frank Preston officiating. Burial will be in the Bohon Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation will after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel and after 11:00 a.m. Friday at the church.

February, 1995
PHILLIPS, Raymond F.
Mr. Raymond Franklin Phillips, 77, died Friday, February 17, 1995 at his residence in Lawrenceburg.
Born April 30, 1917 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Homer and Nettie Monroe Phillips.
He was a retired plumber and a member of the New Providence Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include: his wife, Arlene Bell Gaines Cox Phillips; two sons, Hugh E. Phillips, Harrodsburg, and Raymond F. Phillips, Jr., Lawrenceburg; three step-sons, Ray, Willie and Donald Cox, Lawrenceburg; a half brother, Homer Lee Phillips of Harrodsburg; two sisters, Mrs. Hattie Phillips Richardson, Burgin and Mrs. Evelyne Phillips Johnson, Daytona Beach, FL; six step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, J. D. Phillips, two sisters, Ella Belle Harlow and Simmie Collier, and one stepson, Elbert Ranzell Cox, Jr.
Services for Mr. Phillips were held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 19 at Gash Memorial Chapel in Lawrenceburg with the Rev. Tyre Denney officiating. Burial was in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Mike Morris, Timothy Brothers, Bruce Royalty, Norman Beasley, Bill Overstreet and Charles Sutherland.

PRICE, Ruth A.
Mrs. Ruth Arlene age 41, 3576 Talmage Road, died Friday, September 22, 1995 at the St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.
Born December 8, 1953 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Allen Driskell and Elsie Smith Driskell, Alton, Ky.
She was a housewife and a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church.
Survivors include: her husband, Ronald W. Price; one son, Ronald Wayne Price, Jr., Mercer County; three daughters, Ladena Danielle Tingle, Rhonda Carlene Tyree, and Emma LeFrances Buck, all of Cornishville; two brothers, Michael Allen and Harold Douglas Driskell, both of Salvisa; two sisters, Debbie Kay Watts of Kirkwood and Shelia Elizabeth Murphy of Anderson County; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 25 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Leland Conway, Bro. John Hockersmith, and Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Earl Driskell, Jamie Watts, James Price, Gary Price, Willie Smith, Chris Thompson, Michael Griffeth and Stanley Pennington III.

February, 1995
READNOWER, Lynda C. Russell
Lynda Carolyn (Russell) Readnower, age 54, of 745 Moreland Avenue, Harrodsburg, died Saturday, February 4, 1995 on Old Highway US 127, Lawrenceburg, as a result of an automobile accident.
Born June 21, 1940 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of Mrs. Margaret (Maggie) Tyler Russell and the late John C. Russell.
She was a line operator for Universal Fasteners in Lawrenceburg, a member of the Pioneer Baptist Church and the Sassy Steppers from Boyle County. She was also a former employee of Cricketeer where she had worked for 29 years.
Additional survivors include: one son, Lee W. Readnower, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Lynn (Michelle) Russell, Burgin, one sister, Judy Hendren, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren, three nieces and one great niece. Two brothers, J. C. and Tom Russell and one niece preceded her in death.
Funeral services for Mrs. Readnower were held Monday, February 6 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Steve James and Bro. Everett Priddy officiating. Burial was in Deep Creek Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Paul Collier, Todd Collier, Bobby Pugh, Carl Case, Wallace White, John Gibson, Ricky Dial and Charlie Ritchey. Honorary bearers were third shift employees of Universal Fasteners.

REED, James R.
Mr. James Rodney Reed, 74, of 419 Carrigan Ave., Danville, died Saturday, September 30, 1995 at Ephraim McDowell Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 26, 1921 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Charlie Reed and Lanta Sims Reed.
He was a foreman at Mercer Dress and a member of the American Legion and Indian Hills Christian Church.
He was a veteran of World War II and a veteran of the Air Force.
Survivors include: his wife, Hattie Jenkins Reed, Danville; one brother, Buell Reed, Junction City; three sisters, Lola Allender, Hallie Green, and Lillie Ross, all of Harrodsburg.
Services for Mr. Reed were held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 2, at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Odis Clark and the Rev. Lee Cox officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Jim Tanner, Hollis Perry, Glenn Hildebrandt, Tom Berggren, Amos Sharp and Dwight May. Honorary bearers were Wayne Doolin, Don Harmon, Gary Lane, Vernon McMillin, J. R. Gordon, Bland Moore and Cecil VanDiver.

SALLEE, Lura B.
Mrs. Lura B. Sallee, 90, of 359 Bacon Court, died Tuesday, April 11, 1995, at Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born July 26, 1904 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Carter and Ora Mae Peavler Carter. She was the widow of Orville Sallee.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Cornishville Christian Church.
Survivors include: one son, Bobby Gene Sallee, Harrodsburg; five daughters, Mary Katherine Hopkins and Joyce Sallee, both of Harrodsburg, Mrs. Richard (Ethel Mae) Russell, Springfield, Mrs. Kenneth (Jo Ann) Lay, Phoenix, AZ, and Mrs. Rex (Earnestine) Crecelius, Milltown, IN; two brothers, B. Isham, Harrodsburg, and Gilbert Carter, Cave City; three sisters, Gladys Berger, Ashland, Louise Dean, Harrodsburg, and Martha Carr, FL; 14 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by two grandchildren and two sons, J. L. and Camillus Sallee.
Services for Mrs. Sallee will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 14 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Stan Houser and Bro. Leonard Price officiating. Burial will be in the Cornishville Christian Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

SALLEE, Marshall T.
Mr. Marshall T. Sallee, age 81, of 224 Campbell Street died Wednesday, September 27, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born November 9, 1913 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James Oliver and Elizabeth Harlow Sallee.
He was a retired farmer and a member of the Dry Branch Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one daughter, Doris Logue, Mercer County; three sons, Gilman (Billy) Sallee, Harrodsburg, Donnie Sallee, Danville and Ronnie Sallee, Lexington; three brothers, Tommy Sallee, Harrodsburg, and Paul Sallee, Middletown, OH and James Sallee, Louisville; eight grandchildren, eight step grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and two step great great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Katherine Sallee, one daughter, Nancy Sallee Taylor, three brothers, Leroy, Eugene and Condit Sallee and one sister, Viola Robinson.
Funeral services were held Sunday, October 1 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Harley Humfleet officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Donnie Robbins, Kenny Sallee, Roger Reed, Glenn Byrd, Chris Byrd and Ryan Sallee.

SANDERS, Dorothy F. Watts
Mrs. Dorothy F. Sanders, 72, of Rockford, IL, died Sunday, March 26, 1995, at her residence.
Born September 20, 1922 in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Winnifred Graham Watts.
She was wed to Bruce E. Sanders July 4, 1939 in Jeffersonville, IN, who predeceased her on December 8, 1983.
She was an avid bowler and an Avon representative for many years.
Survivors include: two daughters, Peggy Ann Griese, Loves Park, IL and Carolyn Mortonson, Rockford, IL; four grandchildren, Gary Bruce Griese, Elmhurst, IL, Linda Susan Griese, Winnebago, Robert and Brenda Gustafson, both of Rockford, IL. She was preceded in death by a sister, Susan.
Services for Mrs. Sanders were held at 1:00 p.m., Thursday, March 30 at the Sundberg Funeral Home, Ltd., 215 N. Sixth Street, Rockford, IL. Burial was in Willwood Burial Park.

SEA, Lettie Lay
Mrs. Lettie Lay Sea, age 80, of 1894 Mackville Road, died Tuesday, March 14, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born January 28, 1915 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late John C. and Laura Coleman Satterly.
She was retired from the Kentucky State Hospital, a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and the widow of Cecil Ray Sea.
Survivors include: one son, Donnie Ray Sea, Mercer County; one daughter, Mrs. Arnold (Juanita) Merriman, Mercer County; two brothers, Clellan Satterly, Harrodsburg and Marshal Satterly, Burgin; two sisters, Mrs. Garnett (Nellie) Peavler of Harrodsburg and Mrs. Nathan (Rettie) Sims of Burgin; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, 11:00 a.m., March 17, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. James Harley officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Hugh Satterly, Darryl G. Peavler, Bill Bowen, David Sims, Ronald Trayner, Jackie Satterly and Kenneth Hoskins.

SPARROW, Emily Pulliam
Mrs. Emily Pulliam Sparrow, 91, of 423 College Manor died Sunday, April 2, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital Extended Care.
Born February 2, 1904 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late George and John Ellen Burgin Pulliam.
She was a homemaker, a member of the Salvisa Christian Church and the Salvisa Ladies Aid.
Survivors include: two sisters-in-law, Christine Sparrow of Lawrenceburg and Dorothy Sparrow of Salvisa; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly T. Sparrow, four sisters and four brothers.
Funeral services were held Wednesday April 5 at 2:00 p.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Koch officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Richard Sparrow, Kent Sparrow, Harold Davis, Kelly Bugg, David Sparrow, William Alvin Burton, Alan Sparrow and John Mark Johnson. Mr. Condit "Con" Springate, age 71, 416 Haddix Street, died Wednesday, January 11, 1995, at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born July 19, 1923 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Garfield and Bertha Trower Springate.
He was a retired self-employed grocer, member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, Douglas Laws Post #52 American Legion and a U. S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Loraine Black Springate, Harrodsburg; two daughters, Connie G. Chapman, Lexington, and Dianne L. Peavler, Harrodsburg,; one brother, Paul C. Springate, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Lucille Mobley, Lexington and Ruby Dean, Mercer County; four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, January 13, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Harmon and Bro. John Hockersmith officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery with military rites.
Pallbearers were Todd Ransdell, Bobby Riley, Kenny Stratton, Billy Parks, Keith Robinson, Dave Reister and Tony Pinkston. Honorary bearers were members of the Senior Adult Men's Sunday School Class of the Hopewell Baptist Church.

STRATTON, Horace M.
Mr. Horace M. Stratton, 69, 1708 Perryville Road, died Sunday March 12, 1995 at the Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born April 21, 1925 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late H. M. Stratton, Sr. and Virdye B. Stratton.
He was a retired Co-owner of the Farm Bureau Insurance Company, a member of the Bethel Baptist Church, Glad Hand Sunday School Class, American Legion, VFW, American Radio Relay League, Past Treasurer of the Mercer Co. Republican Party (25 years), member of the UK Alumni Association and a former member of the Mercer Co. Planning and Zoning Committee. He was an army veteran of WW II.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Frances Robinson Stratton, Harrodsburg; one son, Horace M. Kenny Stratton III, Harrodsburg; one daughter, Ann Robinson S. Donnally, South Port, NC; a sister, Evelyn S. Matix, Louisville; one brother, N. B. "Polie" Stratton, Harrodsburg; and one grandson. He was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Johnstone.
Services for Mr. Stratton were held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 15 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert DeFoor officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with military rites.
Pallbearers were John Adams, Philip Wainscott, Jack Coatney, Ron McEwen, Charles Johnstone, Roney Bottoms and Charles Milton Stratton. TAYLOR, Alma Sims
Mrs. Alma Sims Taylor, 81, of 301 W. Main St., Burgin, died Friday, April 7, 1995 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville.
Born February 10, 1914 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Alvin and Nellie Gibson Sims. She was the widow of Marvin Taylor.
She was a seamstress at Mercer Dress for 21 years, a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist Church, former 4-H leader, and a former member of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union.
Survivors include: two sons, Kenneth Taylor, McAfee, Ronnie G. Taylor, Burgin; two sisters, Mrs. Howard (Anne Belle) Fallis, Salvisa, Mrs. Cecil (Christine) Broughton, Batavia, OH; four grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Billy Taylor.
Funeral services for Mrs. Taylor were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 10, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with the Rev. Richard Lowe and the Rev. Patrick Wren officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Junior Sims, Wayne Broughton, Don Whittaker, Howard Fallis, Jr., Joe Hayslett, Charles Sanders, and Lee Sanders.

TAYLOR, Anna Rose
Mrs. Anna Rose Taylor, 98, died Monday, February 6, 1995 at the Christian Health Care Center in Lexington.
A native of Mercer County, she was the widow of Ben Gillium Taylor. She formerly resided in Lawrenceburg and Shelbyville.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Ben G.Taylor, Jr. and Val Taylor; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday, February 9, at the W. R. Milward Funeral home in Southland, Lexington. Burial will be in the Eminence Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the YMCA or the Arnett Pritchett Home.

TAYLOR, Fred
Mr. Fred Taylor, 95, died Thursday February 9, 1995, at Harrodsburg Health Care.
Born September 25, 1899 in Mercer County he was the widower of Jeanetta Taylor.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon for 50 years, a retired barber, a Kentucky Colonel and a member of Silver Cord Lodge #23.
Survivors include: one daughter, Minnie B. Devine: one son, Albert L. Taylor, both of Danville; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Masonic Rites were observed at Smith-Jackson Funeral Home, Sunday, February 11, at 7:00 p.m. Services for Mr. Taylor were held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, February 12 at First Baptist Church, Harrodsburg, with the Rev. R. J. Gentry officiating. Burial was in Maple Grove Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Norman Bartleson, Charles Grey, George Woods, Hugh Jones and Kevin Napier.
Honorary bearers were William "Bunny" Davis, Oscar Harris, Ralph Smith, Madison Tarrence, David Taylor, Monroe Parks, Billy Parks and the members of Silver Cord Lodge #23. Smith-Jackson Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

THACKER, Leota E.
Mrs. Leota Emma Thacker, age 87, a resident of Harrodsburg Health Care, died Saturday at 6:50 p.m. at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after an extended illness.
Born March 11, 1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Frances Ann Thacker.
She attended the Wayman Institute, a Methodist Parochial School, and West Side Elementary School in Harrodsburg. She was a 1927 graduate of Mayo Underwood High School in Frankfort, and earned a BS degree from Kentucky State University in 1931.
She was a retired school teacher, having taught in Vicco, Perry County, Louisville, Burlington, where she was also principal, Monticello and three years at Burgin Independent Schools from 1947-1950.
She was a former receptionist for Dr. Joseph Leidman in Frankfort. She was also a private tutor in her home for both adult and retarded children.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church and a Kentucky Colonel.
Survivors include one son, Jewell Washam of Louisville, one granddaughter, Linda Washam of Connecticut; three cousins; Mary Ellen Slaughter and Mary Patton, both of Harrodsburg; Mrs. Houston Pryor, Danville.
Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 11, at the First Baptist Church with Rev. Robert J. Gentry officiating and assisted by Rev. Phil Yates and the Rev. Herman Bradshaw. Burial will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Emily Lyons Thompson, 80, of Indianapolis, IN, died Tuesday, January 31, 1995 at Community Hospital East.
Born February 14, 1914, in Harrodsburg, she was the daughter of the late John William Lyons and Mary Frances Sallee Lyons. She was a housewife.
Survivors include: a daughter, Mrs. Betty Ferrell, Indianapolis; two brothers, Glover Lyons, Lexington, Everett Lyons, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Janie Sallee, Louisville and Ruby Mullins, Harrodsburg; three grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lyons were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 3rd, at the Flanner and Buchanan WPE Mortuary, Indianapolis with entombment in Washington Park East Mausoleum.

TRISLER, Twyla Carlton
Mrs. Twyla Rose Carlton Trisler, age 65, of 300½ Highland Avenue, Lawrenceburg, died unexpectedly, Tuesday, October 10, 1995, while visiting in Harrodsburg.
Born October 8, 1930, she was a native of Anderson County and a former resident of Mercer County.
She was a member of the Lawrenceburg First Christian Church. She was a secretary and bookkeeper for Farm Bureau Insurance Company in Mercer County and a bookkeeper for the Farmers Tobacco Warehouse in Harrodsburg.
Survivors include: her mother, Marjorie Jeffries Carlton, Lawrenceburg; two daughters, Mrs. John (Ruth Ann) Sparks and Brenda Holiday, both of Lawrenceburg; one brother, Lynn Carlton, Lawrenceburg; two sisters, Jean Spencer, Lawrenceburg and Judy Bailey, Frankfort; one grandson, Scott Holliday of Lawrenceburg. She was preceded in death by a brother, Bert Carlton.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, October 12, at the Lawrenceburg First Christian Church with the Rev. Charles Brumley officiating. Burial in the Lawrenceburg Cemetery..
Visitation from 3 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, October 11th at the Ritchie-Peach-Todd Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg and after 11 a.m. until time of service, Thursday, at the Lawrenceburg First Christian Church.

TRUE, Arthur J. Sr.
Mr. Arthur Julian True, Sr., age 90, formerly of Curdsville Road, died Wednesday, September 27, 1995 at the Bluegrass Regional Medical Center in Frankfort.
Born May 1, 1905 in Bourbon County, he was the son of the late Walter Lee and Ella Mallory True.
He was a farmer, a member of the Shawnee Run Baptist church where he had served as a deacon. He was past president of the Mercer County Farm Bureau, a former member of the Mercer Masonic Lodge 777 F&M and had served as organizing chairman of the Mercer County Fire District, which became the Mercer County Fire Department. He had served as a former chairman of the Southern States Board of Directors, served on the Mercer County Soil Conservation District Board and was the first honorary member of the FFA of the Burgin School District.
Survivors include: two son, A. J. True, Jr., Harrodsburg and Laurel W. True, Shelbyville; four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Isabelle Harp True.
Funeral services were held Saturday, September 30th at 10:00 a.m. at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Lester Tirey officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were A. J. True, Guthrie True, Earl Kleckner, Gary Thomas, Gene Motley and Donnie Webb.

TYLER, Lillie Mae
Mrs. Lillie Mae Tyler, 86, 201 Pioneer Street, died Saturday, March 4, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born June 18,1908 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James and Oma Watts Giles and the widow of Belve Tyler.
She was a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church and had worked in the kitchen of the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Survivors include: one daughter, Alice Dean Sparks, Harrodsburg; one step daughter, Corene Mason, Wilkes Barre, PA; one brother, Fred Giles, Frankfort; one sister, Mrs. Onus Darland, Harrodsburg; seven grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren. A daughter, Oma Frances Tyler Kelly, one step son, Garland Tyler and one grandson, Edward Sparks preceded her in death.
Funeral services were Monday, March 6, 1995 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Dr. Robert DeFoor and Bro. Edward Turpin officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Connie Sparks, Marvin Sparks, Ronnie Sparks, Jimmy Turpin, Mike Scull and Barbara Turpin.

Mrs. Rosalyn A. Best Waltemyer, 66, Pascagoula, MS, died Friday, March 17, 1995 at her home.
Born June 30, 1928 in Mercer County, she had lived in Pascagoula for 34 years. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Pascagoula and a member of the Eastern Star in Kentucky.
Survivors include: her husband, Martin Strine Waltemyer, Pascagoula; one son, Anthony L. (Tony) Best, Mobile; two brothers, Melwood Adkinson, Biloxi and Lee O. Adkinson, Harrodsburg, Ky.; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, March 20, at O'Bryant-O'Keefe Funeral Home, Pascagoula, MS, with the Rev. James V. Miller officiating. Burial was in Serene Memorial Gardens, Escatawpa, MS.

WATTS, Evelyn M. Jenkins
Mrs. Evelyn Mae Watts, age 70, 406 Eagle Street, died Wednesday, February 8, 1995 at her residence.
Born May 10, 1924 in Mercer County she was the daughter of the late Albert and Addie Shackleford Jenkins.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sons, Bobby Watts and Charles Watts, both of Harrodsburg; one daughter, Mrs. Luther Billy (Bonnie) Watts, Harrodsburg; two sisters, Lois Jenkins and Ann Long, both of Harrodsburg; six grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alvin S. Watts and one son, Everett Lee Watts.
Funeral services for Mrs. Watts were held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 10 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Furr officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Donald Ledmon Watts, Sr., age 67, of 117 North Lane, died Friday, September 22, 1995 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center in Lexington.
Born April 24, 1928 in Mercer County, he was the son of the late Strother Nelson and Gertrude Maddox Watts. He was a retired farmer.
Survivors include: three sons, Donald Ledmon Watts, Jr., Frankfort, Robbie Dale and Carl Thomas Watts, Harrodsburg; four daughters, Edith Watts and Alice Baker, both of Harrodsburg, Ruby Matthews, Lincoln County, Rita White, Mercer County, three brothers; Lewis and William T. Watts, Harrodsburg, and Fred Joseph (Joe) Watts, Frankfort, two sisters, Mrs. Nellie Watts and Mrs. Jane Watts, both of Harrodsburg, 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, September 25, at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Mr. Bill Hoffmann officiating. Burial was in the New Providence Cemetery.

Mrs. Glenda L. Watts, age 76, 521 Belmont Street, died Friday, February 10, 1995 at her residence.
Born May 11, 1918 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late James Ledman and Sarah Elizabeth Leonard Drury. She was a homemaker, the wife of Joe C. Watts of Harrodsburg and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors besides her husband include two step daughters: Eloise Bell and Carolyn Vinyard, both of Mercer County; two sisters, Mary Claunch and Janie Pinkston, both of Harrodsburg; a sister-in-law, Mildred E. Lewis, who took care of her. She was preceded in death by one step daughter, Delilah Anderson, and two sisters, Ada Maddox and Mamie Drury.
Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 12, at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with the Rev. James Harley, Rev. Lewis Walter and Raymond Watts officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Wally Bottoms, Gary Maddox, James Maddox, Aral Phillips, Delbert Phillips and Keith Watts.

Mr. Ronald J. Watts, 48, 1338 Delaware Dr., Georgetown, died Wednesday, March 8, 1995 at his residence.
Born August 16, 1946 in Mercer County he was the son of Nellie Ella Watts and the late Raymond Thomas Watts, Sr.
He was a truck driver for G. H. E., Inc. of Nicholasville and a member of Victory Baptist Temple in Georgetown.
Survivors include: his wife Marietta Goodlett Watts, Georgetown; a son, Ronald Scott Watts, Georgetown; his mother, Nellie Ella Watts, Harrodsburg; two brothers, Kenneth Dale Watts, Georgetown and Raymond Watts, Jr. Harrodsburg; five sisters, Georgia Weldon, Sellersburg, IN, Beverly Griffin, Mary Baker, Viola Baker, and Ruby Chambers, all of Harrodsburg.
Services for Mr. Watts were held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, March 10 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Bro. Everett Trainor and Bro. Billy G. Fayne officiating. Burial was in Spring Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Minnie Dean Wiley, 84, of 1369 Mackville Road, died Friday, October 27, 1995 at the James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital.
Born December 13, 1910 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Mallie Dean.
She was a retired cafeteria supervisor from the Mercer County School, a member of the Ebenezer Church of Christ, a Kentucky Colonel and the widow of Herbert C. Wiley.
Survivors include: two sons, Donald Wiley, Mercer County and Harry Wiley, Harrodsburg; three daughters, Lucille Coy of Harrodsburg, Frances Chambers and Norma Jean Lester, both of Mercer County; 14 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harry Lee, Robert and Curry Dean.
Funeral services were at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 30 at the Alexander and Royalty Funeral Home with Bro. Barry Jeffries and Bro. Kenneth Preston officiating. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons, Steven, Brian and Chris Wiley, Kelly Lester and Larry and Jeff Coy.

Mrs. Eula Chilton Woods, 92, of 419 Harrods Court, died Friday, March 31, 1995 at Tifton, GA.
Born August 15, 1902 in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late Holly H. and Cornelia Ransdell Chilton. She was the widow of Ansel Woods.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrodsburg Baptist Church, Eastern Star Chapter 309 and a past Matron.
Survivors include: three daughters; Mrs. Howard (Helen) Tracy, Grand Island, NE, Jean Patterson, Tifton, GA and Mrs. Elmer (Beatrice) Tatum, Boyle County; one step-daughter, Mrs. Jack (Charlotte) Gunter, Santa Rose, CA; two step-sons, David Woods, Lawrenceburg and Maurice Woods, Holland, IN; one sister, Isa Juel Chilton, Harrodsburg; eleven grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Woods were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, April 4 at the Ransdell Funeral Chapel with Dr. Robert DeFoor and Dr. David Hartman officiating. Burial was in the Bohon Cemetery. Eastern Star Services were at 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 3.
