Subject: Ashley's Camp
These are pictures of Ashley's Camp, built and owned by Carl Thomas Ashley. It was the first camp built on Herrington Lake. He called the dining room at the camp the "Dam View Inn." However, the only way you could see the dam was to go to the end of the dining room and lean far out of the window. The cottages were torn down in the 1970's.

C.T. Ashley also owned the C.T. Ashley Company, Feed and Grain, in Nicholasville.

Mr. Ashley is shown riding a railroad quadricycle about 1904 while he was working near Natural Bridge.
