Alice and Goldie were married on Christmas Eve, 1922.
This picture was taken late summer, early fall of 1923 ...
their first child, Granville, was born Oct 1, 1923 (Alice is very pregnant with him in this picture).
The house in the background was a two-room shack with a wooden floor,
located on Phillips Lane in Harrodsburg. This is where my father (Granville) was born.
