Hello from California!
I am a descendant of the Praters of McGoffin (Magoffin) County, starting
with Archibald Prater. You may have seen my letter to the Society quoted
in the August issue of 'Talk to Todd'. Here is a picture of Emily Jane
Prater, my Great Grandmother, who was born in McDonald, MO in 1862. Her
father, John Melvin Prater, was grandson of Archibald Prater. I have also
attached a couple other pictures of people who may be Praters, but I am
not sure. It looks like they may be sitting in a coal mine! Feel free to
post these, and if the unknown ones are
identified as Praters, I will appreciate knowing.
