Roll and Virginia Salyers at their wedding anniversary party in 1953. Roll passed later that year and Virginia died in 1955.

Katherine Conley Whitaker Salyer,
born in Magoffin Co., Kentucky on 11/20/1867. She died in Bakersfield, California on 12/14/1956.

Clyde Wilkerson Salyer. Son of Fielding Newton and Katherine Whitaker Salyer. He was born in Sun City Kansas on 9/16/1886 and died on December 29, 1941.

The Whitaker family along with Johnson Marshall and some of his family followed Johnson Adams (Tom Whitaker's brother in law), to Douglas, Kentucky in 1870,
by 1875 they lived in Sun City, Kansas. Fielding Salyer and his brother in law Henry Van Trees were part of the Oklahoma land rush in the 1890's.

Mildred Evelyn Salyer. Daughter of Fielding Newton and Katherine Whitaker Salyer. She was born in Oney, Oklahoma on 4/28/1905 she died October 7, 1985.

The Arnett sisters Phoebe and Lorraine married Salyer brothers, Greenville and Asbury. 
Greenville and Phoebe (my great grandparents) are on the left of the photograph.  Asbury and Lorraine are the couple on the right of the photograph.

Another son of Greenville and Phoebe Salyer is Lee Salyer, who married Edna Salyer.  The photo of Lee and Edna also include my mother Maureen (Salyer) Wireman in plaid slacks and her mother Hazel (Howard) Salyer Wireman in checkered dress.
