Where did he live in Montgomery County? He married Jane (Jenny) Linn and they moved their family to Kentucky circa 1794 from Wilkes Co, NC. FOX. James FOX purchased 995 acres of land on Slate Creek, later in Montgomery Co., in 1792, using two Virginia treasury warrants, and was residing there by 1795. He was likely the son of William and Elizabeth FOX of Loudoun Co, VA. He may have married first Mary BARTLESON and second Mrs. Hannah SCOTT. Hannah came to KY with him. He had: James, Ezra, William, John, Jesse and Mary Samantha and possibly others. James died ca 1815, when he deeded all of his property to his son-in-law Estridge DANIEL. I have a large amount of data about the FOX and DANIEL families and am in contact with several other researchers. Sat Jul 12 1997
