Julie VandeVoort ( 10025 Twingate Dr, Alpharetta, GA 30202, 770-662-3943 -- GRAY
Hi. I am researching the Gray family. Thomas Gray was listed in the Montgomery County Census in 1810. His son, my g-g-g-grandfather, James Gray, was born February 1, 1799 in Montgomery County. His brother John G. Gray was born May 21, 1805. Thomas and his wife Martha (maybe Gay) were possibly from Virginia. Would exchange information on the Gray family. Also the Grays were married into the West family. (James William West was born July 5, 1797 in Kentucky. He married James' sister, Isabel Gray.) The Grays were in Kentucky until 1818 when they moved to Indiana.

LEWIS DAULTON/DALTON/DOLTON present in 1840 census is anyone else searching this line. Looking for parents and birthplace.

Jay B. Jones ( -- JOHNSON
Would like information on Edmond/Edmund JOHNSON who was found on the 1810 census of Montgomery County. I would like to know if this is the same Edmund Johnson who sold his plantation in Southhampton County, VA and left the county with wife Sally/Sarah Jones Johnson in 1798. I hypothesize that this couple removed to Kentucky with members of David BARROW's Baptist church.

Jay B. Jones ( -- BARROW's churches
Would like information (books, articles, church records) on David BARROW's Baptist churches in Montgomery County, KY. He was an emancipationist minister in Southampton County, VA which was the county where the 1831 Nat Turner slave rebellion occurred. He left (was asked to leave) his Black Creek church in Southhampton in 1798. He founded three Baptist churches in KY (Mt. Sterling, Goshen, Lulbegrud) and I suspect my ancestors (Jones, Johnson) may have removed from Southampton to join him in KY. Thanks.
