Bad roads are prevalent in this country just now. They seem to be the condition that the man`s wife was: just as bad as they can be and getting worse all the time. Have we any road doctors in this country? If so they had better be summoned at once for our roads are going to get past recovery. It used to be said that some one was responsible for the condition of our roads, but perhaps it was just an old saying : I believe some one ought to be responsible.

Say Mr. Editor would it not be a departure from the old custom and a violation of the compact entered into between the two counties when the district was first made for the Committee, to say that the Democrats of Morgan county shall be deprived of a vote in the race for the nomination for Representative in this the 91st dist? We are in favor of Wolfe county having the man this time but we want to help name him as we have twice as many voters as Wolfe county and for Wolfe to say who the nominee shall be would be a case of the tail wagging the dog.
