Mrs. Sam Ferguson left Sunday for Ill. Where she will join her husband who has been there for some time they expect to make it their future home.

Uncle Frank Havens who has had fever for some time is still in a very critical condition and not expected to recover.


An infant child of Wm. Short is very low with Whooping cough.

Misses Lula Henry and Nora Stamper of Grassy Creek were calling on Mrs. Sarah Sheets Sunday evening.


Travis Barker of West Liberty spent Wednesday night with Henry Vest and family.


Misses Anna Samuels and Nell Cecil of near Ezel visited the writer Sunday.


Miss Golda Bartlett spent Saturday night and Sunday with her cousin Miss Rhoda McGuire.


Garret Stamper and sister Maud will start for Florida in a few days where they will make their future home.


Miss Lelie Fugate and little brother Olnie visited Miss Gracie Vest Sunday.


Miss Lula Henry went to Ezel Friday returning home Saturday.


Miss Gracie Vest who had been ill for the past week is thought to be some better.


Mrs. Ebb Henry was calling on Mrs. H.W. Vest Wednesday.


Married on the 16 inst. At the resident of the brides parents, J.L. Henry and wife, their daughter Miss Ada Henry to John Rose of near Hazel Green. Rev. W.L. Gevedon tying the knot. The writer wishes them a long and happy life.

Dr. Burton, is being kept busy, administering to pneumonia patients.


John M. Kennard is moving to West Liberty this week and H.H. Jayne is moving into the property vacated by him.

James H. Coffee and family visited C.W. Williams Saturday night and Sunday.


R.B. Penix has been in these parts buying cattle for the past few days.


Jasper N. Perkins and Noah Coffee, started last week for Oklahoma.
