My great grandfather and mother Brown came from the Isle of Great Britain.
My grandfather, James Brown, was born in Middlesex County, Virginia, on the 29th day of April 1708 and died 17th March 1784, Culpepper, Va.
My grandmother Brown (Elizabeth Pool) was born April 1718, Gloucester County, Va.
My father, Jas. Brown, was born at Mansfield, near Fredericksburg, Va. on the 19th April, 1742 and died 24th June, 1825.
Ann Brown, my mother, was born 19th April 1746, died 1st May 1799.
Father and Mother married - 15th November 1764.
H. 0. Brown and Mildred Field were married 28th November 1809.
Mildred Brown, daughter of Larkin & Jane Field, born March 13, 1787, died October 26th, 1824.

Maria Ann Baker Brown and Milton Browning were married July 19, 1839
Jane Rachel Leach Brown and Wm. P. Coolbaugh were married September 24, 1844
Henry Ormsby Brown, born at Libben Grove farm, Bourbon County, Ky., 10th December 1787, died at Mt. Prospect - 8 a.m. 26th June 1852.
Lucy Ann Gaither, born at Mt. Prospect, Nelson County, Ky. 23rd March 1804, died at Mt. Prospect, 2 a.m. 16 November 1848.
Henry Ormsby Brown married (2nd) Lucy Ann Gaither 4th June 1828.
Their Children:
Edward Gaither Brown - born July 27th, 1829, died March 29, 1836.
Mary Eliza Washington - born April 29th 1832, died July 18, 1894.
Henry Ormsby - born June 15, 1835.
George - June 16, 1837 - died December 23, 1857
Lucy Ellen - born October 10, 1841 - died February 14th, 1881
Mary E. W. Brown and Charles E. Nourse were married September 26, 1850 at Bardstown, Ky., by J. 0. Cosby, at P. P. Church.

H. 0. Brown, Jr. and Nannie Carter of Woodford County were married at Lexington, Ky. February 16th, 1871.
H. 0. Nourse and Polly Ann Brown were married June 25th, 1878 at LaGrange, Ky., in Mrs. Bain's parlor, by J. B. Moody.
Charles A. Nourse and Bertha C. Foster were married, Wednesday, April 25th, 1894 in Chicago by Rev. John Rusk.
Mary Ella Nourse and J. P. Hobson were married February 25th, 1885 at the Presbyterian Church, Elizabethtown, Ky., by J. C. Coldwell.
Lulie L. Nourse and W. H. Sale were married November 20th, 1889 at Elizabethtown, Ky. by J. C. Coldwell.
FAMILY HISTORY
The following facts were obtained from the oldest member of our near relatives, now living, Mrs. Clarke, oldest child of Uncle Hezekiah Brown, deceased, and mother-in-law of W. Adam Keenon near Frankfort.
Rachel Davis, my mother's sister married a Holmes - Bowling Green, family Virginia: Thomas Davis, a brother, married a Miss Pannell.
Grandfather Brown's mother's maiden name was Disrah/Dirrah. Her sister married a Menifee, whose great-grandchild was the celebrated Richard Menifee, deceased, late member of Congress of Ky.
The mother of the late Rev. Ambrose Dudley (father of Doctor Ben Dudley now of Lexington, Ky.) was a Brown, cousin to my father.

H. 0. Brown and wife Lucy Ann are buried in a family burying ground in Nelson Co. in the area now called Early Times.
