This Bible was in a box of books purchased in 2000 at an estate auction in Bloomfield,
Kentucky; and was transcribed by Betty R. Darnell, for the Bulitt County Genealogical Society.
Published Marriage, Census, and Deed Records indicate that this family lived in Nelson County, in the Bloomfield area, on the East Fork of Simpsons Creek and Chaplins Fork. On 13 Apr 1815, Samuel and Sarah Duncan deeded to the Trustees of the Methodist Episcopal Church, three acres, known as the preachers house, adjoining Christopher Graham and Samuel Duncan.
