CENTRAL SECTION
Including Bardstown and St. Joseph
BARDSTOWN CITY CEMETERY - located at the northern edge of Bardstown on 31E about 1 mile from the Nelson County Courthouse. It is divided into twenty-eight sections with section I beginning at the Confederate Monument to the unknown Soldiers near the entrance road that divides Bardstown and St. Joseph cemeteries. There are 80 pages of burials and a map of the cemetery in Nelson County Cemetery Book, Volume IV
FEDERAL HILL CEMETERY – located at My Old Kentucky Home State Park.
FEDERAL HILL SLAVE CEMETERY – located behind Old Kentucky Home. Twenty graves marked with fieldstones, no names or dates.
HYNES CEMETERY – located 1 mile north of Bardstown on 31E and ½ mile
west on Withrow Court
OLD BARDSTOWN PRESBYTERIAN CEMETERY - located at the end of N. 5th St.
& Templin Ave.
OLD BARDSTOWN MUNICIPAL CEMETERY - located at 4th and John Fitch
SPEED CEMETERY - located about 1 mile east of Bardstown on Old Bloomfield Rd. on J.R. Scobee farm (2003)
St. JOSEPH CEMETERY - located at the northern edge of Bardstown on 31E about 1 mile north of the Nelson County Courthouse. Nelson County Cemetery Book, Volume IV contains 125 pages of burials at this cemetery and includes photos of statues, monuments etc. and a map of the cemetery.
