George Fryman
George Fryman was born in the year 1780 in Pennsylania.
He was our first ancestor born in the United States!
His parents were Johan Philipps and Catherina C. Snapp Fryman.
George was a farmer. He married Margaret Snapp in 1801 in Nicholas County, Kentucky.
George is the father of Elisha Jacob, grandfather of Stephan,
great grandfather of Ernest, great great grandfather of Harold.
- George and Margaret had 15 children. They were;

- Lewis-born in 1802;
- Elijah-born in 1803;
- Melvin D.-born in 1805 in Brown County, Ohio;
- Mary-born in 1806 in Nicholas County, Kentucky;
- Elisha Jacob-born 1808 in Nicholas County, Kentucky;
- Charlotte-born in 1810 in Harrison County, Kentucky;
- Matthew-born in 1813;
- Lucinda-born in 1815;
- Samuel-born in 1818 Nicholas County, Kentucky;
- Louis-born in 1822 in Nicholas County, Kentucky;
- William J.-born in 1825 in Clay County, Illinois;
- Henry-born in 1825;
- Joseph-born in 1835 in Bracken County, Kentucky;
- Minera-born in 1837
This part of the family moved back and forth though Ohio, Kentucky, and Illinois.
They were the first Frymans in Richland County, Illinois.
They farmed and began a dynasty of farming and land purchases in the Decker Township area.
George may have married when Margaret died in 1860 in Richland County, Illinois.
Her name was possibly Oma. George died in 1870 in Richland County, Illinois.
