Hopkins Graveyard

When we started cleaning it up, the poke berry bushes were so bad we had to take tobacco knives and cut them and burn them. After clearing it out, we found four stones of the thirteen we knew were there. We began probing and finally found all the stones--a lot were in pieces. But, we were able to find all the bases for the stones and are pretty sure we got them all back in the right place because of the way they each had a certain fit in the bases. We found two stones that were about four foot under ground--ground hogs had dug a big mound and we found them in the mound.
