This is a transcription of microfilmed county records on file at the Kentucky Department of Libraries and Archives in Frankfort, Kentucky. The transcriber was a volunteer with a birth records indexing project coordinated by the Kentucky Genealogical Society. The volunteers are not professionals in deciphering 1870s handwriting. Question marks in this transcription indicate the transcriber's uncertainty when reading certain names.

Especially challenging was differentiating between capital L and capital S and between capital W and capital M (and sometimes lower-case i and e). Please consider alternatives when these letters are involved.

When no name is listed for the child, the birth is listed by father's name. If no name is listed for the child or the father, the birth is listed by mother's name.

Transcriptions include only the child's name, gender, race and date of birth. The actual record also includes parents' names and each parent's native state or country.
