Eugene Ferris Beard, M.D. was a son of Joseph M. Beard and Sarah Pryor
Foree. Eugene was a Dr. in Pleasureville for a time. He married Josephine Logan Banta in
Pleasureville, Ky. Later they moved to Lexington and Eugene was the city Doctor for 25 years prior to his
death. He was born on June 26, 1852 in Beard, Kentucky and died March 22, 1927 in Lexington, Kentucky.
