Robert E. Burton, Jr. Mon Apr 27 1998 15:58:19 I am Robert E. Burton, Jr. I am originally from Somerset, KY. I am the son of Robert E. Burton, Sr. who was born in Jabez. His father's name was Joseph Montgomery Burton, my grandfather. Joe Burton's father was Albert Montgomery Burton. I am not positive but I've been told that his father's name was Joseph and that this Joseph was shot in the Civil War as a spy? This is as far back as I can get. My fathers brother, Lilburn, tells me that two Burton brothers came to Southeastern Kentucky from Virginia with the Conley family and settled in an area known as Conley Bottoms. I'm trying to establish the link between these two brothers and my family. Can anyone give me an idea or a place to look? Thank You Bob Burton
