I am trying to locate a marriage certificate on my grandparents. They
were married in approximately 1924 in Russell County. Their names were
Ambrose B. Elmore and Bertha Lee York. Ambrose was the son of Joseph Elmore
and Mary Ann Appleby Elmore. Bertha was the daughter of Mathew York and
Lizzie Ellen Cape York. Thank you very much for taking the time to do this.

Seeking info' on the ROWE families of Russell Co. Hiram Rowe was said
to have been an early land surveyor of this county, did he have a son named
DALLAS H. ROWE? DALLAS H. ROWE m. MARY A. CABELL in Casey Co. in 1848.
On the marriage bond his name was misspelled, Dowlas Roe, later documents
prove it was DALLAS H. ROWE. Have descendant info' and CABELL ancestry

Seeking information on the family of Narcissa GEORGE, b. June 14 1839
in Russell Co. Ky. She married Henry Ellison SKAGGS b. March 28, 1831 and
settled in Tx about 1858. They raised eleven children and I have their
histories but I like to know about the family of Narcissa GEORGE - She
was a fine strong woman and must have had a fine family.

george was born around 1850-1860; HIs father (my gggrand-father) was John

Russell County, KY. Married DICIE A. MCGAHA b.09/1855. They were married
in 1877, probably Russell County. They had five children: John, Ambrose,
William, Joe, and James.

COMBS, Simeon F. My 2 great grandfather Simeon F. Combs was born about
1802 in Virginia and moved to Russell County, Kentucky in the early 1820's.
He married Lavina Coffey who was born about 1804 in Illinois. It is believed
his father was Jesse Combs and his mother's maiden name was Frost. According
to family information Simeon lived in Russell County until the late 1840's
when he moved to Crittenden County, Kentucky. In the late 1850's Simeon
and his wife Lavina moved to southeast Kansas before statehood, living
in unorganized indian territory. I would be interested in any Combs family
members who lived in Russell County in the 1820 to 1850 time frame.

Seeking info' on the family of William ROWE and his wife Elizabeth
'Betsy' (MOORE) ROWE who were married in Adair Co. 1823, she the d/o Nathan
Moore. In 1840 census of Russell Co., Wm. & Elizabeth or listed as
having 2 sons between the ages of 10-15, by the 1850 census one of these
sons had left home. Trying to prove that he might be Dallas H. Rowe who
married Mary A. Cabell in Casey Co. in 1848. The 1850 census list Wm. &
Elizabeth's children; Eliza 24, Benjamin 20, Sally Ann 16, Mary 14, James
12, Oskar (Oscar?) 9, Terrel Jr. 6, Helen 4 and Hannah 1. Dallas Rowe was
age 25 or 26 in 1850. Any help appreciated. Jhigdon@bellsouth.net
