500 per semester
Eligibility:
1.
Applicant must have been a resident of

Applicant must be planning a degree program with an emphasis in
history, history education, historical preservation, folklore, archaeology, or
some other related area. Direct
any question concerning the appropriateness of a degree to the Society.
3.
Both undergraduate and degree programs are eligible.
High school seniors, current college students, teachers pursuing
advanced degrees, and others may be eligible.
4.
A prior recipient may apply for a renewal in succeeding years.
Requirements:
1.
Submit an essay no longer than 300 words, telling why you want and need
this scholarship, why you think your degree area is important, and why your
area and the preservation and education of history is
important to you.
2. Submit
your resume. This must contain
your name, address, phone number, as well as other pertinent information.
Include ACT and/or SAT scores if relevant.
3.
Submit your official or unofficial high school and/or college
transcript.
4.
Submit two letters of recommendation
