For 2010, the Scott County Historical Society partnered with the Scott County Genealogical Society to offer a $1,000 scholarship to a graduating senior from Scott County High School who planned to attend a Kentucky college or university. Students applying for the scholarship wrote an essay about a person, event, or business important to Scott County's history.

Any additional scholarship opportunities sponsored by the Scott County Historical Society will be announced well in advance of the award date.
