Your Wayne County Board Administrator is:

Please take time to read the following for instructions and some helpful tips for using this board. I realize the new formats are going to take some time to get used to (for me also!). Please be patient and if you have a problem, let me know. I will *try* to help.
Before posting family information or data to this board (or any RootsWeb-Ancestry-MyFamily owned board) I feel it is important that you read MyFamily-Ancestry's copyright notice. In my opinion it is the words 'content' and 'distributor' that we should pay particular attention to at this point. Read it and make your own decision as to whether or not it is of concern to you. Click here. If you have questions, please email me. I may not have the answers but I am here to help and will always tell you, honestly and completely, anything that I know about it.
PLEASE MAKE YOUR SUBJECT LINE PERTINENT TO YOUR SPECIFIC MESSAGE. Use a name or subject that states who/what it is you are looking for. You will get a much better response. Folks usually will not take time to read a message with a subject line like for example, "Need Help" or "Looking For My Great Grandparents." BE SPECIFIC. These 2 examples should be changed to read, "Need Help Subscribing To The CRR List" (or whatever it is that you need help with) ... and ... "Looking For John & Elizabeth (Smith) Doe" (or whatever your great grandparents names are.)
Also, PLEASE when you post a query to the board, DO NOT INCLUDE SURNAMES
IN THE SURNAME LINE THAT ARE NOT IN YOUR POST. By doing this you will cause
many people to have to take the time to read your post looking for a name
that is not there.
This board is for Wayne County posts only. Your post MUST SHOW A CONNECTION TO WAYNE COUNTY or it will be deleted.
You must log in with a user name and password in order to post to the boards. If at any time you need to change your email address, you will be able to do that yourself - and as I understand it, just one time will change it on all boards that you are posting to.
Try out all the new features - I think you will find some that you like. For instance, when viewing a post, scroll down and hit the EXPAND button ... I think you'll like what you see.
Another very helpful feature is the ability to switch from one county board to another with ease and speed. Just click on the word COUNTIES at the top of the page. This will take you to a list of clickable links to every county in Kentucky.
Also you may want to try the PRINT function where you can quickly and easily print a copy of any message you are interested in following up on.
I am told that the copyright issue does NOT apply to information you post to these boards - your information remains YOUR property.
Enjoy! .... Marilyn
