NOTE: This deed from George Hamblin & others to (my gr-grandfather), Marion Jones
& others does not mention the deceased, Robert Smith in the deed index. I happened on
this deed because I was also checking for Marion Jones. Marion Jones and "Biddy"
(Smith) Jones, were the parents of my grandmother, Effie E. (Jones) Bennett. Her
mother, "Biddy" died a year or two before her father, Robert Smith. Therefore all of the
Smith and Jones family are listed. This was quite a find for me!

the same S18 W17 poles S52 W28 poles S43 W10 poles to an Elm
& Sycamore on the bank of the river leaving the river N86 W44
poles to a Cherry west 20 ½ poles to two white oaks near the
old spring N22 ¼ W14 poles to the beginning.
It is further agreed by the parties of the second part that a
pass way be kept open so that it can be conveniently passed over
from the mill road to the Symentry (cemetery) on the line between
the within named Jones' & L. D. Smith and at some acceptable
place. If this boundary should touch or take any of the
graveyard, it is to be exempt & is not hereby conveyed. This
boundary contains 12 acres be the same more or less. To have and
to hold the same together with all the appurtenances thereunto
belonging unto the party of the second part, their heirs and
assigns forever and the said party of the first part hereby
covenants with the said party of the second part that they will
warrant the title to the property hereby conveyed unto the said
party of the second part and their heirs and assigns forever.
