FAULKNER'S FUNERAL RITES HELD THURSDAY Funeral services were conducted at the home of Mrs. Raleigh Sallee, Malaga, for Mrs. Garnett Faulkner, 35, wife of J.B. Faulkner, Breathitt County, on Thursday afternoon, April 15 with Rev. Johnnie Dalton officiating. Burial followed in the family cemetery. Mrs. Faulkner was electrocuted while attempting to extricate her daughter, Lucille, 12 from a live wire entanglement. It is reported that an electric wire colssed? the garden to the adjacent coal mine operated by J.B. Faulkner, the deceased woman's husband. Somehow this wire had gotten broken and was on the ground. The girl, who was hoeing in the garden, got entangled in the wire and the mother went to her assistance and lost her life. The girl Lucille, after being given emergency treatment at Jackson was taken to a Lexington hospital where she is reported o be in a serious condition.
