Sr. - Saturday, December 29, 2007 The Middletown Journal on 12/31/2007 Submitted by: Carole Bays ********************************************************************** GENTRY, Willis W., Sr. Age 71, of Middletown passed away December 29, 2007 at University Hospital. He was born May 12, 1936 in Campton, Ky. to Green and Cella Gentry. Willis served in the Army/National Guard from 1954 to 1961. He was an owner/operator for Ryder Truck Lines for 21 years, retiring in 1985 and also worked in the testing lab for Hoover Ball Bearing Co. for 10 years, retiring in 1964. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Darlene F. Gentry in 2002; 6 brothers and 3 sisters. Willis is survived by sons Willis W. (Cherie) Gentry, Jr. and Wendell (Misty) Gentry; daughters Leisa Riley and Bridgett Davis; brothers Willie Gentry, Sr. and Jack Clay Gentry; sisters Irene Ford and Shirley Sanders; and a number of grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday January 2, 2008 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Baker-Stevens Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life Service will be held Thursday January 3, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at Butler County Memorial Park.
