FRANCIS M. GIBBS IS CLAIMED BY DEATH	

Funeral services were conducted at 1:30 p.m. Christmas Day for Francis 
  Gibbs, 71, who died here Dec. 23.

The services were held from the Campton Baptist Church with the pastor, 
the Rev. Earl Morris, officating.  Interment followed in the Evans 
Cemetery.

Mr. Gibbs was born Feb. 17, 1873, a son of the late Hollis and Martha 
Nickell Gibbs.  He was converted and affiliated with the Campton Baptist 
Church in 1940, living a true Christian life.

A devoted husband and father he leaves to mourn his loss, his wife, 
Sallie Tutt Gibbs, two daughters, Mrs. Lenox Lawson of Fixer and Mrs. Byrl 
Rose of Campton and a son, Orville Gibbs at Dayton, Ohio, and one 
brother, Nathan Gibbs of Hazel Green.
