Wolfe County News,  July 1, 1951

LUELLA GRAHAM, 25, DROWNS IN MICHIGAN		

Luella Graham, 25, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Graham of Bethany, 
KY., was drowned in Lake St. Clair, in Michigan, Sunday, June 24th, 
while on a pleasure yacht.  She fell overboard and because the waves were 
so rough her body could not be recovered.

It was found the following Saturday, June 30, 20 miles from where she 
had gone overboard.  The body was brought back to Hollonville, KY, for 
burial in the family burial place, where it was laid to rest on July 2, 
1951.

Rev. Melvin Brown had charge of the funeral and burial.

Mrs. Graham had been married; an 18 month-old son and her parents, 
survive, with several half-brother and half-sisters.  She was a student in 
law school in Michigan at the time of her death.
