Wolfe County News - April 14, 1954

LENGTHY ILLNESS PROVES FATAL TO OSCAR KING, 34

Oscar King, 34, died at three o'clock, April 8, at the Veteran's 
Hospital, Louisville, where he had been a patient for seven months.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Opal King, his parents, Mr. and Mrs. 
Ally King, of Wolfe county; five sisters: Mrs. Ernest Hall and Mrs. 
Dewey Campbell, both of Stanton; Mrs. Myrtle Wireman and Miss Faye King, 
both of Campton and Mrs. Carlos Amburgy, Carlisle; and four brothers, 
Elsiah King and Charley King, both of West Virginia and Ernest King and 
Willie King both of Wolfe County.

Funeral services were conducted at two p.m. Saturday, April 10 in the 
Spencer Cemetery in Wolfe county by Rev. Ballard Johnson.
