Obits: Gibbs, Donald Reed, died 12/05/1949 Oct. 2002 Wolfe County, KY Submitted by: http://www.rootsweb.com/~archreg/vols/00001.html#0000062 Wolfe County Genealogy and Carole Bays ********************************************************************** Wolfe County News, Dec. 1949 Donald Reed Gibbs, 4 mo. old son of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Gibbs of 318 Valley St., Dayton, Ohio died at 6:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at the Good Samaritian Hosptial in Dayton. Other survivors are two sisters, Linda Kaye and Rebecca Susan and the grand parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jeptha Gibbs, Daysboro, Ky, and Mr. and Mrs. H.C. Spencer of Rogers, KY. The body was taken to the Hayne Funeral Home and prepared for burial, where it layed in state until two p.m. Tuesday. Then it was brought to the home of Mrs. Gibbs parents at Rogers. Burial was in the Gibbs cemetery on Gilmore. Those from out of the state attending the funeral were: Mrs. Herman Lewis and three children of Pontiac, Mich., and Mr. and Mrs. Elmo Pelfrey and son of Pontiac, Mich, Mrs. Frances (Gibbs) Francis of Dayton, O., Mrs. Drexel Gibbs, Mrs. Wendell Gibbs and Miss Edna Gibbs of Dayton. From other communities: Mrs. Clyde Harvey, Hazard, Mr. and Mrs. Shelby Spencer and family of Richmond, KY., Miss Bessie Spencer of Rogers, Mr. Orba Spencer, Mr. Luther Triplett, Mrs. Ruth Lykins and children, Mrs. Courtney Tolson all of Rogers, KY., and others from Gilmore, Daysboro and other surrounding communities.
