VANCLEVE PASSES APRIL 28 Roland Vancleve, 83, of Route 2 Campton, husband of Mary Brewer Terrill Vancleve died suddenly at his home at approximately 3:45 a.m. Friday, April 28, of a heart attack. He had been in ill health for several months. He was a retired merchant and farmer a native of Breathitt County, a member of the Church of God, a veteran of World War II, member of the Pieratt Lodge No. 725, F. & A.M. and belonged to the Order of the Eastern Star. He is the son of the late Gardner and Polly Brewer Vancleve. Other survivors include one son, A.R. Vancleve, Jr., Bellville, Michigan; one daughter, Mrs. Talmadge Lacy, Gilmore; one brother, Raleigh Vancleve, South Lebanon, Ohio; three sisters, Mrs. Esther Dunn, Dayton, Ohio, Mrs. Pearl Gevedon of Cross Plains, Indiana, and Mrs. Amanda Pence of Wisconsin, one step-son, Frank Terrill, Jr., Dayton, Ohio; five step-daughters, Mrs. Miranda Davis and Mrs. Jean Smith, both of Route 2 Campton, Mrs. Gladys Elkins and Mrs. Ora Lockard, both of Hazel Green, and Mrs. Addis Manhardt, Dayton, Ohio, five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 30 at the Campton First Church of God with Rev. Willie Taylor and Rev. Doyle Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Hazel Green Cemetery with funeral arrangements under the direction of the Porter and Son Funeral Home.
