Seeking information on Travis Walker who married Elizabeth (Betsey) prior to 1810 in Woodford County, Ky. I have found marriage records on three Travis Walkers (presumed to be related) who were married about the same time. This Travis, with Betsey and two sisters (one named Elizabeth) moved to Harrison County VA. Because there are three Travis Walkers of the same generation, it is believed that they are members of a large family group who settled in Woodford. I would love to make contact with anyone who is researching this line. Thanks!

I am researching Samuel MONTGOMERY and his son John MONTGOMERY. Samuel Montgomery came to Woodford Co. about 1780 and was married to a Richards. Their son John was born between 1770 and 1775. John volunteered in 1794 in Franklin County under Captain Anthony Bartlett to join Wayne's Army against the Northern Indians. They were mustered at Georgetown in Major Prices Battalion. He was injured on August 20 1794. He was married to Mary Thomas b:1779 and their first son was born April 30, 1796. About 1804 John and family moved to Henderson Co. and then on to Hopkins Co. I am looking for any information that will add to the above. Marriage date for Samuel and John, dod for Samuel, other children in either family and dob for all.

Need help finding great grandfather William MITCHELL, born 1855 in Woodford CO, Married in 1883, died in Polsgrove, Franklin CO. Married to Electra Poole about 1883. I know from census records that both his parents were born in KY. Also have indication that one of his father in law, Henry J. POOLE died in Woodford Co in 1921. Wonder if families of Poole, Mitchell, and Long were often inter-married.

Specifically James Garnett - who may have died in 1807 with a Lewis and an Anderson Garnett listed in his will. Looking for the HOCKERSMITH or HOCKENSMITH family in Anderson, Franklin and Woodford Counties. Trying to connect to my Anna HOCKERSMITH who married Harrison HOLMAN in 1839. After 5 children Anna "disappears" in the 1850s, probably in Lincoln Co. Also in Anderson Co, I know of a Joseph HOCKERSMITH who signed marriage bond for Anna and Michael HOCKERSMITH who was sued by Harrison HOLMAN in 1843.
