Jacob JONES and Elizabeth ____ were the parents of Moses JONES. What was Elizabeth's last name?
Jacob made a will at Red River Fort Union 19 May 1780. He names sons Abraham, Thomas, and Moses, and dau's Mary KNOTTS, Elizabeth, and Sarah. His will was probated 15 Mar 1796. Jacob and family were on the expedition of John DONALDSON & Co., on their way to Tenn. from Va. The were ambushed by the Chickasaw Indians, and most all of Moses' family was killed but him. He was captured again in 1780 and lived with them for nine years. He escaped by way of the Ky. River and landed at Warnick (now known as Oregon, Mercer Co. Ky). Where was the family when they lived in Va., and who were Jacob's parents, and Elizabeth's parents?
Moses JONES was b.17 Sep 1773 (where?), and d.18 May 1842 in Mercer Co. Ky. He married 8 Jan 1801 (Mercer Co.) Mary HENDERSON (b.Mar 1774, d.8 Sep 1841). Who were Mary's mother and father? Moses had land transactions with an Alexander HENDERSON. Was he a relative of Mary's? Children of Moses and Mary Henderson JONES:

am looking for information about Philip Buckner who moved to Bracken Co. KY in 1785; and was a menber of the Second Constitutional Convention, from Bracken Co. and was also a Senator in the KY Legislature. His son John Buckner was educated at Versailles in Woodford Co. and acted as Deputy Sheriff of that county for 4 years. He moved to Christian Co. in 1814.

James Preston HAWKINS m. Barbara Henderson DAVIS, dau. Asael DAVIS, Jr. and Elizabeth HENDERSON, 7 FEB 1811, Garrard Co., KY. Have found a John HAWKINS in Garrard in 1900, the same name that appeared on their m. bond. The couple first lived on Clear Creek in neighboring Woodford Co. Does anyone know anything about who James was, who his parents were, etc.? He was b. KY, 16 SEP 1809 probably in Garrard or Woodford counties.

Looking for list of children of Edward and Sarah Mosby who are in 1800 tax list for Woodford County.He is said to have had eleven children and a member of Mounted Kentucky Volunteers in th ewar of 1812. Sarah came to Indiana to land East of Otwell of 1815. One of his children married Andrew Anderson sometime after 1844

NEAL - Marshall NEAL - LONG. Seeking information on the NEAL family of Oldham County. In the History of Kentucky, Volume 6 by PERRIN it had "Marshall NEAL is a native of Oldham County, and was born November 9, 1830.Fielding NEAL, his father, was also a native of Oldham County,and married Miss Maria MARSHALL, of Woodford County.
John NEAL,the grandfather of Marshall NEAL, was a farmer, and a veteran of the Revolution, who came from Virginia in 1796 and located in Woodford County, Ky., moved to Jefferson and finally settled in OldhamCounty. . . .Marshall NEAL has always been a farmer, and now owns 500 acres of well improved land near Ballardsville. He was first married,in 1850, to Miss Martha LONG, who died in 1853. He next married Miss Amelia LONG, a sister of his deceased wife, in 1856, andthis lady died in 1866, leaving five children: Thomas, Robert, Newton, Sallie and Belle. Mr. NEAL's third marriage was in 1868 to Miss Nannie ARNOLD, and to this union two children have beenborn: Fannie and Perry. Mr. NEAL is a member of the ChristianChurch, and in politics is a Democrat." I am researching theselines and would like to hear from other researchers interested in the same lines.
