Need help! According to info I have, my ancestor, Robert ELLIOTT, purchased land in Fayette Co., KY in 1784, but did not go to KY until 1788. This was Treasury land, not Bounty land. Robert died 1802 in Woodford Co. - "Kentucky Gazette" notice that a bill was signed in the Kentucky Legislature allowing Robert's land holdings be dispersed among his heirs in 1804, another notice again in 1805 again mentions Robert's property being divided among the heirs - This is the first time in all my years researching that I have come across something like this - and I don't have the slightest ideas how to check this out - If I could find this, it should document his older children, which I really need - Thank you so much.
