I am seeking information on William RAMSEY b. 1747 who was married to Martha OCHILTREE and lived in Woodford County Ky between 1802-1806. They emigrated with a huge family from Rockbridge County, VA and were reported to have relatives in Woodford Co. I would like to know who these relatives were. They later settled in Preble Co, OH where son John was a physician. John was the son of William's first wife, Elizabeth LACKEY. I think one of the reasons the RAMSEYS lived in Woodford County for four years was so that son John RAMSEY could study to be a doctor. John apparently studied under a prominent physician in Woodford County, Dr. Preston BROWN because he named a son Preston Brown RAMSEY. Was Dr. Preston BROWN a relative? I would also like to know more about the BROWN ancestry. Where in County Londonderry, Ireland where some of his ancestors from? His father was Rev. John BROWN and his mother, Margaret PRESTON was the daughter of John PRESTON and Elizabeth PATTON.

This is the information I have...Samuel Nash was born in Franklin Co. Kentucky, was born May 25, 1811. His father, Jeremiah, was a native of Virginia, and died when Samuel was in his seventh year. When in his fourteenth year, Samuel with his mother and her family, came to Missouri.... I have not been able to find them in Franklin Co. I also ran accrossed Jeremiah Nash in Woodford Co in an 1810 Census Jeremiah probably died around 1818. Thank for any help given! Yvonne.
