MONTGOMERY Seeking information on James Montgomery who was born in Woodford County, KY. in the late 1700's. He was the son of Samuel Montgomery. His wife's name was probably Kathleen. He may have accompanied Lewis and Clark in 1805. One of his sons was Robert the father of Lorenzo Dow Montgomery.

Their daughter Mary Ann Melvina FORD was born in 1826 in Kentucky (possibly Woodford County). Mary Ann Melvina FORD married John Newman Durham in 1840 in Clay County, Kentucky.
