MCCONNELL, WINN I am looking for information on the Family of Robert McConnell. I am especially interested in his wife's name. Martha Ann Winn born in Woodford Co., KY in May of 1820 married James McConnell on Jan 8, 1840 at the home of her Aunt Susan Cooke In Louisville. KY. According to my grandmother's Bible James was the son of Robert McConnell. James was born in Louisville but my grandmother thought that the McConnells were previously from Woodford Co., KY. Also. Can someone please tell me if there was an epidemic of some kind in Woodford County in 1831?? I discovered an ancestor of mine in the court house and he had died but in the court records, it says the estate was sold and two coffins were purchased out of the proceeds of the sale so am assuming they both died or she would have been listed as a widow in the intestate proceedings. So now wondering what happened to the child????????must search the court records again.
