Researching the Brown family which inc. John C Brown, his wife Mary and large family who lived in this parish and were founders of the Old Saline Baptist Church pastored by George W. Baines. Children's names were Gw Brown, Isaac Newton Brown, Francis Marion, Jasper, OlliVann, This family moved to Walker county--Huntsville Texas by 1850-60 where John C. died. They were somehow kin to the Koonce family also. Anyone that can help let me know.

Virginia "Jenny" Hines was born in Bienville parish in July 1867. The daughter of Wiley Hines and Catherine Summerlin. Virginia married in Bienville parish to a young man with the last name of Jones about 1887. They are listed on the 1900 Bienville parish census in ward six. I would like any information on this family and would like to contact any descendants of this family. I am a distant cousin.
