Holmes (b. 1830), William Holmes (b. 1832), and Mary Ann Holmes (1832-1865). William and Julia Elizabeth Beard had two children: Julia Elizabeth (1843-1874) and Michael Johnston Beard (1847-1888). Mary Ann Holmes was married to Dr. G.B. May of Black River. After her death, he married Julia Elizabeth Beard, and after her death in 1874, Dr. May married Clara Amanda Wilmoth.
