The petition of Wilson R. Squyres of said parish and state represent to your
Honor that he is the brother of William P. Squyres who died interstate in the
year 1826 leaving some property, a widow and four children minors and under
the age of puberty. first Polly (Mary), Synthia, William Robert , and Joseph
Squyres. Your petition represents to your Honor that there never has been an
inventory of the succession of said William P. Squyres dec nor any other proceeding
required by law and further that the late Elizabeth Squyres , now E. Pearcie
although natural tutrix to said infant children and heirs of W. P.. Squyres
intermarried with a certain Jessie Pearcie. whereby she not having complied
with the requirements of the law has forfeited her right to act as tutor. wherefore
your petition well acquainted with the great ----the succession has surtained
prayers that an inventory may be taken of said succession and ----- appointed
tutor to said infant children and heir of said William P. Squyres and such other
thing as may be necessary for of promotion of the inventory of a foresaid heirs-----
