HURST, Hazel Beatrice DeLee "I have fought the good fight, I have finished my course, I hae kept the faith." II Timothy 4:7. Beloved wife, devoted mother and grandmother and faithful Christian, she died Friday, April 21, 2006, at 11:10 p.m. at Field Memorial Hospital in Centreville, MS, at the age of 85. She was a resident and native of Felixville and a retired East Feliciana Parish school bus driver with 32 years of service. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Clinton, on Sunday, April 23, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and on Monday, April 24, at Clear Creek United Methodist Church in Clinton from 1 p.m. until service at 3 p.m., conducted by the Rev. Bob Townsend. Burial in the church cemetery. Survived by her husband of 70 years, Lea "Esther" Fulton Hurst of Clinton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dorothy H. and Jerry Devall of Clinton and Bonnie H. and Frank Scimeca of Clinton; three sons and daughters-in-law, Rogers and Linda Butler Hurst of Clinton, Lea Esther "Bill" and Pat Morris Hurst of Clinton and Clifton B. and Bonnie O'Neil Hurst of Clinton; three sisters and brother-in-law, Marie DeLee Kendrick of St. Francisville, Colleen DeLee Hanks and Ancil of Greensburg and Mavis DeLee Sharp of Baton Rouge; brother A. W. and Lillie Hebert DeLee, Jr. of Clinton; grandchildren, John and Deanna Hurst, Chris Hurst, Jeffrey and Amy Devall, Dennis and Jana Devall, Shannon Devall, Ashley Scimeca Duncan, Brian Lea Hurst, Kellie Hurst Sterling and Adam, Kimberly Hurst, Cliff Hurst II, Billy Miller and Kaylea Hurst; 11 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by parents, A. W., Sr., and Lillie De Lee; brothers, Willie L. DeLee, Elvis DeLee, and Archie DeLee; sisters, Lillie Mae Harvey, Minnie Abrams, Bonnie Eckart and Vera Doughty; and granddaughter, Carmen Scimeca Rochester. Pallbearers will be John Hurst, Jeff Devall, Dennis Devall, Shannon Devall,Brian Hurst, Adam Sterling, Cliff Hurst II and Billy Miller. Honorary pallbearers are Chris Hurst, Rob Rochester, Joby Roberts, Arnold DeLee, Blake Devall, Hunter Devall, Tyler Duncan, Austin McDonald, Clay, Jerry and Jason Doughty.
