SEALES, Aldon Eugene "Gene" A retired railroad engineer for I.C. Railroad for 35 years, he died, Friday, May 5, 2006 at 3 a.m. at Louisiana War Veterans Home in Jackson. Born Jan 9, 1933, he was 73, a resident of Norwood for seven years, a native of Enondale, MS, near Meridian, MS, and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Visiting at Newman Funeral Home, Centreville, MS was on Saturday, May 6 from 6 p.m. to 8: 30 p.m. Visiting continues at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until religious service at 2 p.m. conducted by the Rev. Ed Jelks. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery in Norwood. Survived by a nephew, Aubrey Stephens of Olive Branch, MS; two brothers-in-law, Walter Boatner of Baton Rouge and Milton Boatner of Norwood, and numerous nieces and nephews on his wife's side of the family. Preceded in death by his parents, Arch and Verna Grantham Seales, wife Dorothy "Dot" Boatner Seales; and a sister, Ruby S. Stephens. Pallbearers will be his nephews. He was of the Baptist faith and loved to play the guitar and sing.
