Mike Churchman of this class married the sister of J. E. Valentine, Jr., Elma Louise (Doodle) Valentine.

R. J. Bienvenu (Renee') was a good friend of mine. He earned a Ph.D. in microbiology from L.S.U. from the same professor that I earned my M.S. degree. Renee' was a professor at North Western of LA and later became the President of that University.
