Subject: [LAGRANT-L] OBIT MRS SARAH T. PREUETT
| Mrs Sarah Thersa Preuett, widow of the late Henry D. Preuett and for
half a century a resident of the Bethel community, died there at the
home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H Irwin last Friday, August 11th , 1935
at the age of 82 years, 10 month and 29 days. Mrs Preuett was born Sarah
Theresa Carr, in Union parish, on Sept 17, 1851. She was married to
Henry D. Preuett on December 17, 1868, and of this union were born
eleven children, four of whom with her husband have preceded her to the
Great Beyond.. She is survived by six sons and one daughter, as follows: J.D. PREUETT OF HEFLINE, LA; MRS W.H. IRWIN, COLFAX, ROUTE 1; G.W AND H.A. PREUETT ALSO OF COLFAX, ROUTE 1; W.E. PREUETT, COLFAX ROUTE 2; T.J. PREUETT OF DEQUEEN ARK; AND D.M. PREUETT OF HARGUS LA. Services were held at the Bethel Baptist Church Saturday afternoon at 3 o'clock, Rev. W. F. Crooms officiating. Interment was made in the Bethel Cemetery. |
