Benjamin - Madison Parish, Louisiana From Vicksburg Evening Post January 15, 1950 Percy Benjamin Of Tallulah Dies Suddenly At Home Percy O. Benjamin, long time resident of Tallulah, died Saturday in his home in that city. Mr. Benjamin was born at Homestead Plantation near Lake Providence. La., but has resided in Tallulah for the past 29 years He was 67 years old. He was the parish road engineer, and Secretary of the Louisiana Delta Fair Association. Mr. Benjamin was also an active member of the Episcopal Church, serving as Sunday School Superintendent for a number of years, and a Mason. He is survived by his wife Mrs. Sadie Guthrie Benjamin - three daughters, Mrs. Halsey Rivenbark of Charlotte, N C. Miss Elizabeth Benjamin of Memphis, Tenn., and Miss Cecilia Benjamin of Tallulah: a son, Walter Benjamin of Tallulah, two brothers, Will Benjamin of Lake Providence, La. and H. W. Benjamin of Galveston, Texas: one sister, Mrs. L. B. Watt of Bunkie, La: and one grandchild. Funeral services are incomplete, but they will be held in Tallulah under the direction of Young's Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Silver Cross Cemetery.
