TALLULAH Services for Linda Jo Dates will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Travelers Rest M.B. Church in Tallulah with Dr. Leonard Walker officiating. Burial will follow at Maryland Cemetery in Tallulah. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday with family hour from 6 until 7 at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.

Ms. Dates died Sunday, March 17, 2013, at Promise Hospital. She was 64.

Born in Tallulah, Ms. Dates was a homemaker.

 

She was preceded in death by her stepfather, West Bynum; and her grandmother, Sarah Peterson.

 

Survivors include her mother, Rosie Bynum of Tallulah; three daughters, Dinah Davis of Vicksburg, Edwanda Williams of Las Cruces, N.M., and Yolanda Allen of Helena, Ark.; one son, Danny Allen of Tallulah; three sisters, Mattie Alexander of Marietta, Ga., Sonia Barbre of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Debra Walton of Cary, N.C.; one brother, West Alexander III of Antioch, Calif.; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews, cousins and friends.
