Juanita Scherer, 77, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family, Tuesday, July 16, 2013, after a long battle with cancer.

 

Funeral: 3:30 p.m. Saturday in Mount Olivet Chapel. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Mount Olivet Funeral Home.

 

Juanita was born Aug. 24, 1935, in Tallulah, La. She retired from Lockheed Martin after over 30 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond M. Scherer; her mother; and nine siblings. Survivors: Son, Michael Scherer; grandchildren, Maranda Parker, Halee McAlister, Janie Hardaway, Jerry Fine; 10 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
