Delores Virnell (Ball) Turnage - Madison Parish, Louisiana

Our beloved Mother and Grandmother, Delores Virnell (Ball) Turnage passed into the arms of our Lord Tuesday, October 20th, 2009 at her home in Hesperia, California.

Born in Green County, Mississippi September 21, 1927, Delores was the youngest of seven children. Shortly after her birth, the family relocated to Tallulah, Louisiana where she met and married her late husband Eliga "Bo" Turnage.

With the conclusion of World War II and Bo's discharge from military service, Delores and her husband relocated to California with permanent residence in Westminster and Huntington Beach for thirty years.

In 1985, Delores and Bo retired to the High Desert of California.

Delores will be best known as a loving mother, great cook, and heck of a seamstress. She will be loved and remember by her Daughters, Debbie Turnage and Sheila Boschert, her Son-In-Law, Michael Boschert, and her Granddaughter, Coty Boschert-Poppett. (Preceded in death was her only Son, Dwain Turnage in 1980).

She will also be missed by her extended family of Sister-In-Laws, Bonnie and Marsha Turnage and Brother-In Law, Edward "Buddy" Turnage, along with many nieces and nephews, also residing in the High Desert.
