No. 1 Pg. 1 Joseph P. BOURGEOIS Etal husband of Eugenie THIBODAUX sold to F. M. GUYOL on April 12, 1822 3 Arpens of land fronting on Bayou Terrebonne on right shore, bounded on North by Ambrose DUGAS and on the South by land of Jean Charles BERGERON.  Witnessed by H. S. THIBODAUX and Cornus COLLINS.

No. 2 Pg. 4 Alexandre DUPRE Etal sold land to Police Jury April 8, 1822 - 100 feet in Front and French measure on left side of Bayou Terrebonne, North side and front is the Southern Boundry - 100 feet at and from lower on Eastern corner of Tract belonging to Alexandre DUPRE and returnable to H. S. THIBODAUX - Eastern line of said tract One and one half Arpens in Depth, 270 feet upper point, 100 feet on Bayou Terrebonne.  Signed by Alexandre DUPRE, Henry S. THIBODAUX, Francis M. THIBODAUX sold land to Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL on Bayou Lafourche in Thibodauville, 140 feet in front by street seperates from land of Joseph DARCEY, in back by Vendor on right by street and Prison on left by Vendor.  Witnessed by H. M. THIBODAUX and Cellestin BERGERON.

No. 6 Pg. 10 On April 23, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land in THIBODAUXville to John DOR on Front Public Way or Ground, on Bayou Lafourche, on back by Street and land of Joseph MARTIN, above by Street and H. S. THIBODAUX, and below by Street and land of Francois DEBIN.  Witnessed by A. GROSS and Paul POUSSIER.

No. 7 Pg. 11 On April 23, 1822 Power of Attorney Marie MACHIAVO to her husband Lazare HERNANDES, for sale of Mulatress - Catherine.  Witnessed by Jean Bte BOUDREAU, Theodoree BOUDREAU, John DOR.

No. 8 Pg. 12 On April 23, 1822 Lazare HERNANDEZ sold to Henry S. THIBODAUX a certain yellow woman or Mulatto “Catherine” 32 years old, with child 11 years old, and another female child “Griffe”, dark in color, 2 years old, said mulatto purchased of Francisco MACHIAVO.  $1,500.00.  Witnessed by Jean Pierre LEDAY and Joseph ROGER.

No. 9 Pg. 13 On May 4, 1822 a Morgage signed by Joseph MONSON to Azahel GROSS for two Negro Males, Francois, 20 years old, cross eyed and Gabriel, 20 years old, deformed on little toe of right foot who was purchased from Joseph GALETAS.  Witnessed by L. B. THIBODAUX and DESBAINS.

No. 10 Pg. 16 On June 3, 1822 a Bond for John M. HENRY as Parish Coroner. $1000.00 - Witnessed by Henry M. THIBODAUX, Parish Clerk, signed by John N. HENRY, Alexandre DUPRES, Jean J. LEBOEUF, and Judge Leufroy BARRAS.

No. 11 Pg. 18 On June 15, 1822 Jean Charles BERGERON sold land for $250.00 to H. S. THIBODAUX - 3 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to length of Concessions or Spanish Grant bounded above by Jacques LABY, Jr. and below by land of Narcisse MARCELLES.  Part of Land confirmed to heirs of Charles BERGERON.  Witnessed by Corns. COLLINS and Jean J. LEBOEUF.

No. 12 Pg. 19 On June 15, 1822 Mrs. Gabriel ARSENAUX nee Catherine LEBOEUF sold land to H. S. THIBODAUX - 4 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Spanish Grant, bounded above or Northwardly by land of Lamuel TANNER, and below by Hubert BELLANGER, the same land purchased from Henry S. THIBODAUX.  Witnessed by Cornelius COLLINS, Joseph P. BOUDREAUX, and Jean Jacques LEBOEUF.
No. 13 Pg. 21 On November 5, 1821 H. S. THIBODAUX sold land to Jacques VERRET for $ 50,000.00 - 10 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Concession, 5 Miles below Bayou Lafourche.  Bounded above by land of Heirs of Walker GUIBERT, below by land of Elmire THIBODAUX.  Witnessed by Anfoux TEMOIN and Vr. Coulon TEMOIN.

No. 14 Pg. 24 On June 15, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Jacques VERRET to increase size of plantation - 10 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne to depth of Concession 5 miles from Bayou Lafourche, bounded above or North by Heirs of Walker GUIBERT and below or South by land of Elmere THIBODAU.  Witnessed by Cornelous COLLINS, Joseph P. BOURGEOIS, and Guillame BERGERON.

BOURGEOIS and wife sold land for $ 630.00 to Gabriel ARSENAUX husband of Eugenie, 3 Arpens front Bayou Terrebonne, Left side of it going down 26 Arpens in depth bounded by land of Guillaume BERGERON and below by land of Leandre B. THIBODAUX.  Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Ase DUGAS.

No. 16 Pg. 29 On June 17, 1822 Discharge Jean Baptiste BEAUSERGEANT alias LANGEVIN and wife to Bernard E. HAINS.  Jean Baptiste BEAUSERGEANT husband of Marguerite BERGERON widow of Pierre GUIDRY.  Discharge Bernard Edouard HAINS as husband of Leonore Melanie GUIDRY (deceased) daughter of Pierre GUIDRY and Marguerite BERGERON.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLENGER, and Ase DUGAS.

No. 18 Pg. 32 On July 1, 1822 Partition of Heirs of Joseph BOUDROT -  Widow Joseph BOUDROT, Marie Ludivine.  Each Heir recieved $134.86 - Joseph, Marie Rose, Cecile, Renaud, Isidore, Anne Scholastic, Constance Rose, Pelegrin, Francois, and Victoire.

No. 19 Pg. 37 On July 1, 1822 Petition of Heirs of Joseph BOUDROT - Widow Joseph BOUDROT, Marie Ludivine to Isidore BOUDROT, 5 Arpens front each side Bayou Terrebonne to depth, upper one sixth part of larger tract of Joseph BOUDROT, bounded Northwestwardly by land reseved by Widow, and below or South Westwardly by land of Francois BOUDROT 5 Arpens 1/6 of claim, Renaud BOUDROT 5 Arpens 1/6 of claim, Pelegrin BOUDROT 5 Arpens 1/6 of Claim, Joseph BOUDROT 5 Arpens 1/6 of claim bounded below by property of Charles DUPRE.

No. 20 Pg. 39 On July 5, 1822 Widow Pierre MENUE nee Marie Rose LEJEUNE sold land to Pierre PROVENCHE for $1,000.00 - 10 Arpens on Bayou Terrebonne, both sides, bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land belonging to vendor.  Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and H. F. KNOBLOCH.

No. 21 Pg. 41 On July 16, 1822 Discharge of Pascal LAMBERT of Assumption Parish to Henry S. THIBODAUX paid $775.00 inheritance of his wife, Marie Cezaire BELLANGER, as the daughter of Nicholas BELLANGER and Marguerite LEJEUNE both deceased.  Henry S. THIBODAUX was Administrator of Estate and Tutor of Marie Cezaire BELLANGER.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

No. 22 Pg. 42  n July 22, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Alexandre BERGERON, 2 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne depth of about 20 Arpens on one side and 10 Arpens on the other, bounded above by land of Francois BELLANGER and below by land of Claiborne THIBODAUXfor $775.00 as part of inheritance due by Henry S. THIBODAUX to Alexandre BERGERON as husband and guardian of Euphrosine BELLANGER.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

No. 23 Pg. 44 On July 22, 1822 Alexandre BERGERON sold land to Henry S. THIBODAUX, 5 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne by depth of Concession, bounded above by land of H. S. THIBODAUX and below by same.  Any rights that Alexander BERGERON has to any concession or grant of land to Pierre or J. Bte. BERGERON and Charles and Alexander BERGERON both deceased and as heir of same.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

No. 24 Pg. 46 On July 24, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold land to Hubert BELLANGER 4 Arpens on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne by ordinary depth, bounded above by vendor land purchased from Catherine ARSENAUX (seeNo. 12) and below by land of Marguerite BELLANGER widow CROCHET.  Witnessed by Joseph DARCE and C. B. THIBODAUX.

No. 25 Pg. 47 On July 24, 1822 land exchange by Hubert BELLANGER and Henry S. THIBODAUX to wit. 640 Arpens from Spanish Grant on Bayou Terrebonne to Bridgitte BELLANGER wife of Henry S. THIBODAUX.  H. S. THIBODAUX sold on Bayou Terrebonne 1 Arpent on both sides of bayou, bounded above by Land of Hubert BELLANGER which he purchased of Pierre BERGERON and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX.  Witnessed by Joseph DARCE and L. B. THIBODAUX.

No. 26 Pg. 49 On July 24, 1822 Joseph J. DARCE sold land to Henry S. THIBODAUX 2 Arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Alexandre BERGERON and below by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX for $ 775.00 due by Henry S. THIBODAUX to Marie Justine BELLANGER, wife of said Joseph J. DARCE, at Thibodauxville, one half of a block or square bounded and fronting upon the First Main Street, on the east bounded by the street which seperates the Court House, on the west lot of Pierre PICOU and on the south by Second Main Street which seperates from lot of Pierre B. ROUSSELL.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and L. B. THIBODAUX.

No. 27 Pg. 52 On July 29, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Charles BENOIT, fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by lands of Manuel ALBARATO, on right and Left Joseph Marie BENOIT and below by lands of Jean BOUDELOCHE depth to authority of United States for $ 400.00 per year for 5 years.  Witnessed by Aubert BELLANGER, Joseph DARCE.

No. 28 Pg. 54 On July 9, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Pierre Joseph THIBODAUX both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of Joseph THIBODAUX Jr. and below Henry S. THIBODAUX, to depth confirined by authority of U. S. for $300.00 per year for 5 years.  Witnessed by Hubert BELLANGER and Joseph DARCE.

No. 29 Pg. 56 On July 9, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to Francois THIBODAUX fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, above by land of Joseph THIBODAUX and below by land of Pierre J. THIBODAUX, depth as confirmed by U. S. authority, for $300.00 per year for 5 years.  Witnessed by Hubert BELANGER and Joseph DARCE.

No. 30 Pg. 58 On August 7, 1822 Jean Charles BERGERON .sold 1 1/2 Arpens of land to August BERNOU For $200.00 on right side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by land of vendor, and below by land of Catherine LEBOEUF wife of Gabriel ARSENAUX, to depth as confirmed.  Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Aaron HAINS.

No. 31 Pg. 59 On August 8, 1822 “Sheriff's Sale” - Caleb B. WATKINS by virtue of writ of Fieri Facias against Narcisse MARCELLE at the suit of Honore FOLKS, sold land to Auguste BERNOU 3 Arpens front on Left bank of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by lands of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by same for $ 170.00.  Witness Pr. GAUTIER and Ase DUGAS.

No. 32 Pg. 60 On August 71 1822 Auguste BERNOU sold 3 Arpens of land to Narcisse MARCELLE and wife Marianne LEBOEUF fronting on leftbank of Bayou Terrebonne acquired this date at Public Sale bounded above by land of Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land of Heloise BERGERON wife of RHODES.  Witnessed by Caleb B. WATKINS and Aaron HAINS.

No. 33 Pg 62 On August 22, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold 2 Arpens of land to Joseph ROGER, fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth of concession or grant, was purchased from Jean Charles BERGERON June 15, 1822 (No. 11) bounded above by land of Jacques LABY and below by land of vendor - $100.00 per year for 1824, 1825, 1826, 1827 and $200.00 for year 1828.  Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Hubert BELANGER.

No. 34 Pg. 65 On August 22, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold Widow Julien CROCHET nee Marguerite BELLANGER, a certain black man named William aged about 30 years.  Same negro Henry S. THIBODAUX purchased from Mr. BEAUREGARD in office of Hugues LAVERGNE for $700.00.  Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and Hubert BELLANGER.

No. 35 Pg. 66 On August 27, 1822 Jacques BILLOT sold 10 Arpen of land to Alexander VERDIN.  Jacques BILLOT owed mother Marianne ERIS money, he sold the land to his mother who sold to Alexander VERDIN to wit 10 Arpens fronting on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to depth confirmed by authority of U. S., bounded above by Alexander VERDIN and below by land of Alexander VERDIN under Jean BILLOT.  Same tract Jacques BILLOT purchased at auction as will appear by reference in Parish of Lafourche Interior. Witnessed by John Mc HENRY and Charles DUPREES.

No. 36 Pg. 68 On August 27, 1822 Charles BILLOT sold land to Alexander VERDIN to wit; 20 Arpens fronting on Bayou Terrebonne to ordinary depth, bounded above by land of COURTEAU, an Indian, and below by purchaser.  This tract was purchased at Public Auction fully referenced in Parish Judges of Lafourche Interior book A of deeds page 161.  Charles BILLOT sold land to repay debts owed his mother Marianne ERIS.  Witnessed by John Mc HENRY and Charles DUPREE.

No. 37 Pg. 69 On August 27, 1822 Jean BILLOT Jr. sold land to Alexandre VERDIN to wit; 5 Arpens front on both sides of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land Jacques BILLOT and below by land of COURTEAU, an Indian, with ordinary depth.  Refrence to records of Eastern District, County of Lafourche No. 369, filed June 12, 1808.  Jean BILLOT  old land to repay debt owed his mother Marianne ERIS.  Witnessed by Leandre B. THIBODAUX and John Mc HENRY.

No. 38 Pg. 71 On August 28, 1822 Michel DARDART sold land to Michel BILLOT, Pierre BILLOT, Etienne BILLOT and Charles BILLOT.  1st. to Michel BILLOT 5 Arpens in front both sides Bayou Terrebonne to depth of grant, bounded above by land of Jean Bte. PRAIRIAL, a free man of color, and below by land of Pierre BILLOT.  2nd to Pierre BILLOT 5 Arpens in front as above, bounded above by land of Michel BILLOT and below by land of Etienne BILLOT.  3rd. to Etienne BILLOT 7 Arpens in front both sides of Bayou Terrebonne to depth of grant, bounded above by land of Pierre BILLOT and below by land of H. S. THIBODAUX.  4th. to Charles BILLOT adjourning H. S. THIBODAUX, 5 Arpens in front Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above and below by land of H. S. No. 39 Pg. 73 Donation on August 28, 1822 Jean DUPRE Sr. and wife Ives NAQUIN of land to their son Charles DUPRE, 2 1/2 Arpens fronting each side of Bayou Terrebonne, bounded above by Joseph BOUDROT and below by land Louise Euphemie DUPRE to depth of grant.  Valued at $180.00 witnessed by H. S. THIBODAUX and Wm S. WATKINS signed by Jean DUPRE Sr., his wife Ives NAQUIN, Charles DUPRE, Isidore BOUDREAUX, his wife and Gabriel LEBOEUF.

THIBODAUX, Where as Joseph BOURGEOIS sold to Gabriel ARSENAUX (No. 15 Pg. 27) for $600.00 and another tract of land to Marie Carmelote his daughter by deed dated September 3, 1822 for $400.00 (two tracts form whole of a certain one, to the said Eugenie by her father Henry S. THIBODAUX and below by land of Heirs of deceased Pierre LAMBERT, in favor of Jean Pierre LAIDE under the conditions that J. P. LAIDE pay Henry S. THIBODAUX the money that Michel GAUTREAU paid for the land and Mr. THIBODAUX accepts J. P. No. 72 Pg. 126 On October 25, 1822 Henry S. THIBODAUX sold to Jochim PORCHE 3 Arpens on each side of Bayou Terrebonne bounded above by land of H. S. No. 87 Pg. 152 On December 12, 1822, Joseph Innocent DARCE made a Will.  “I name and institure as testamentary Executrix my wife, Marie Justine BELLANGER.  All I possess be divided into Two equal part.  One part to my wife and the other to my children, in equal shares, no difference between children, born before my marriage and those born since, acknowledging him by these presents”.  Witnessed by H. No. 113 Pg. 33 On January 14, 1823 at New Orleans, Edmond FANGUY of Terrebonne Parish owed Pierre DEBUYS, a merchant in New Orleans, $700.00.  He mortgages his Plantation situated in Parish of Lafourche Interior, on Bayou Terrebonne, nine leagues from the Junction of the said. No. 134 Pg. 64 On May 19, 1823 Pierre GAUTHIER agreed to provide labor to build a barn, 30 feet wide and 70 feet long, with 3 sections, one for corn, one as a stable and one as a bay barn for $500.00, for Pierre Bertin ROUSSEL, with him furnishing all the materials.  Living expenses will be deducted from the $500.00 when contract is complete next March.  Witnessed by Henry S. No. 194 Pg. 173 On January 31, 1824 an inventory succession of Charles LEBLANC, at the house of the deceased Charles LEBLANC, widow Magdelaine MALBOROUGH, with Michel Archange BERNARD and William HAMMOND, two non interested appraisers, valued the household goods at $239.56 1/4 cents.  Witnessed by Henry M. THIBODAUX and Pierre GAUTIER.

No. 195 Pg. 175 On January 16, 1823 Gabriel ARSENAUX sold land back to Jean Charles BERGERON, as he is unable to pay $300.00 due on the sale from March 27, 1822 # 114, to wit; 1 1/2 Arpens fronting on right hand side of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth the certificate of confirmation calls for, bounded above by land of F. N. GUYOL and below by land of Gabriel ARSENAUX.  Witnessed by Aaron HAJNS and L. DARBOIS.

No. 196 Pg. 177 On February 26, 1824 a marriage bond of $300.00 each, for Jean B. VERTEFEUILLE and Jean B. BEAUSERGEANT, for Jean Baptiste VERTEFEUILLE's marriage to Marie Denise BAYE.  Witnessed by Ase. DUGAS, John MORGAN and Laban MORGAN.

No. 197 Pg. 178 On February 26, 1824 a marriage contract between Jean Baptiste VERTEFEUILLE, of the age of 31 years, born in Albany and Marie Denise BAYE, of the age of 23 years, born in Lafourche Parish.  Witnessed by Ase. DUGAS, John MORGAN and Jean Bte. BEAUSERGEANT.

No. 198 Pg. 179 On March 6, 1824 a probate sale of the community of Charles LEBLANC deceased and widow Marie Magdelaine MALBROUGH.  The inventory # 194 was all sold to the widow for $226.00.  Witnessed by J. DOZER, Laban MORGAN, and Pierre GAUTIER.

No. 199 Pg. 181 On March 10, 1824 Francois MALBROUGH sold land for $200.00 to Theotisse MALBROUGH wife of Damien MARTIN to wit; 2 Arpens fronting on left side of Bayou Terrebonne, to depth the certificate of confirmation calls for, on that side, bounded above by land of Francois MALBROUGH and below by land of the same, between stakes as are well known to both parties.  Witnessed by Michel BERNARD and J. DAIGLE.  Signed by Francois MALBROUGH, Theotisse wife of Damien MARTIN, Damien MARTIN, Jean B. AUCOIN, Jean B. FREMAN and Joseph LEBLANC.

No. 200 Pg. 183 On March 31, 1824 Joachim PORCHE signed a mortgage to GIROD BROTHERS for a note of $92.00 due March 1825.  He mortgaged a certain negro woman named Ursule, of the age about 18 years, same he purchased at a public sale of estate of Guillaume ANDRE.  Witnessed by Ase. DUGAS and Florentin BLONDEAU.
