I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me ... Phil 4:13
On these pages you will find pictures of 19th century inhabitants of Terrebonne (and perhaps Lafourche & Assumption as well).  Somewhere out there a distant relative may have a picture of that great-grandfather or great-great-grandmother that you've never seen.
Your help is needed.  I have posted a few of my own, but it you have images of people from the 1800s who lived in this area, please email me a copy for me to post at the site.  Please scan it at a decent (300 dpi) resolution and attach it to a message including your name, the subject(s) name(s), the date of the photograph (or at least an approximation), and any other relevant data that might be of interest.  If the picture is faded, has marks, etc., I will do my best to restore it before posting it.  Click here for more information on restoration and how images will be posted.
Pictures surrounded by a colored border are linked to a larger version that will print better.  If you have restrictions on reproduction, please send those with the image.  If you would like to use any image for reproduction online or in print, please contact the contributor for permission.
ALSO, if you have old pictures of locations in the Terrebonne Parish area, I would love to get a copy as well.  Thanks!

I've put an example below.  Since earlier pictures are harder to find and have more people interested in them (since earlier ancestors have more descendants), 19th century photos are really what I'm looking for.  This project was begun in August 2002, so it will be a while before many pictures are posted.  If the picture is of a female, she will be listed by her maiden name.
